Kivo Messenger helps you stay in touch through private messages, groups, voice calls, and video calls.
YOUR IDENTITY, YOUR CONTACTS
Create an account with a local password and a generated public address. No phone number, email address, or SMS verification is required. Share your address or full searchable username so friends can find you. Your display nickname and searchable username are separate.
EVERYDAY CONVERSATIONS
Send end-to-end encrypted messages, photos, files, voice messages, and stickers. Start a group and manage its members and permissions.
STICKERS AND STORIES
Search the sticker library by keyword or emoji, preview packs, and install the ones you like. Share Stories with selected contacts or groups. Stories disappear after 24 hours; they are not a permanent archive.
UP TO THREE ACCOUNTS ON ONE DEVICE
Keep up to three identities on your iPhone. Switch between unlocked accounts without entering the local password again. Lock an account when you want it to require a password on your next visit.
CONTINUE ON YOUR MAC
Use Linked Devices to scan the QR code in a compatible Kivo desktop app. Initial linking synchronizes contacts and groups and receives new messages; it does not transfer previous message history.
KEEP A COPY OF YOUR CHATS
Export a manual encrypted chat archive from On-Device Backups. Keep the entire exported folder and its separate archive key. Restore only to an empty iPhone or iPad account with the same identity. Existing history is not merged or overwritten. Only downloaded media is included, and Android backup files cannot be imported.
KEEP YOUR RECOVERY INFORMATION
A recovery phrase or private key is needed to restore your original identity. The local password alone cannot recover an account, and restoring an identity does not automatically restore its messages. Keep recovery information and archive keys private.
