Fantasy Manager – Start & Sit
Fantasy football lineup advice
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Four moments decide your fantasy football week. Fantasy Manager gives you one clear call for each of them — in plain football language, for your actual Sleeper or ESPN roster.
ONE CLEAR CALL, NOT A TOOLBOX
Every player on your roster gets a verdict, from MUST START to MUST SIT, with the reason and the number behind it. When a starter should come out, you see who goes in, at which slot, and what the swap is worth in projected points.
START OR SIT
Which of your two players to start, the projected edge between them, a confidence score and the football reasons why. Questionable players are marked IF HEALTHY, and you see whether the final injury report is in.
THE WAIVER WIRE
Wednesday is won on Tuesday night. Your roster gaps, the best available adds, and what to bid — a dollar amount out of the FAAB budget you actually have left, sized against the rivals who can outbid you. Leagues that run on waiver priority get priority advice, never a made-up dollar figure.
ALERTS THAT MATTER
A push when one of your starters is ruled out, on IR or on bye while there is still time to fix it. The Sunday-morning reminder only comes when your lineup actually has something to fix.
YOUR LEAGUE
Standings with your league's own playoff cut, playoff odds, and every team's roster strength ranked with the record left out — eighth place with the third-best roster is a buy signal. Plus every add, drop and trade your league mates make, and a weekly league report you can drop into the group chat.
DRAFT DAY
A cheat sheet in tiers with values and sleepers, built for your league's scoring — plus, for Sleeper drafts, a live draft room that reacts to what actually went off the board.
WE KEEP SCORE ON OURSELVES
Every Tuesday we grade the projections behind last week's lineup advice against what actually happened and compare them with Sleeper's own projections. Every graded week is visible in the app — including the ones we got wrong. No cherry-picking, no marketing number you can't check.
NO BETTING. JUST FANTASY.
No picks, no props, no deposit bonuses. Fantasy Manager does one thing: help you win your league.
WORKS WITH YOUR LEAGUE
Sleeper (just your username) and ESPN (public or private leagues) — redraft, keeper and dynasty. Moved your league from NFL Fantasy to ESPN this year? Connect it in seconds.
FREE TO START
No card required. You get your team and position grades, standings, playoff odds, matchup projections, the lineup optimizer, your track record, and three AI calls to try the advisor.
PRO
Fantasy Manager Pro — $3.99 per month, auto-renewing monthly until you cancel. Every league you play in, waiver strategy with FAAB bids, a verdict on every trade offer, game-day alerts when a starter is ruled out or a loss is likely, unlimited start/sit checks, league analysis and the Copilot assistant.
SEASON PASS

more Tuesday is honest now. Once Monday night is over, Pickups and the Plays board already plan for next week instead of offering last week's numbers, and Home says the week is in the books. Before the new week's projections land, the app says so instead of telling you to replace a bye player with nobody. The injury alert never names a replacement with "0.0 pts" again — it picks the man with a projection, or names him without one. The game plan no longer proposes swaps between players who have already played, Sunday reminders are checked against a lineup synced minutes earlier, and the week rolls at the same moment for everyone.
1.49.2 14h ago
Your week, every league in one list: Home now shows each league you play in with its verdict — set, two moves open and what they are worth, or a starter who cannot play — checked against the lineup your league actually has. Tap a league to fix it. The Lineup tab opens on the current week, weeks in calendar order. Once Monday night is over, the app says the week is played instead of asking you to fix a bye slot. Pro is one list: all your leagues, waiver bids, a verdict on every trade offer and game-day alerts. The Tuesday review owns a miss instead of telling you to ignore us.
1.49.1 23h ago
Trade checks are much faster. Every account now gets a trade verdict in about a second, as often as you like: the call, the value balance and the line that explains it. Pro owners see the verdict change live while they build an offer, with how much more to ask for when the value falls short, and the written case for and against follows on the result screen.
1.48.1 3d ago
Back from Sleeper or ESPN, the Lineup tab now checks your lineup and tells you which moves are in and which are still open, with one tap back to finish the rest. The ESPN button opens your own team. Win chances across the app are now calibrated against real results, and Pro owners get one Sunday-morning alert when a loss is likely, naming the moves that help most. If alerts are off, the app shows you the way to turn them on.
1.48.0 6d ago
Your second league is one tap away: "Add another league" sits at the bottom of the league switcher. A Pro trial shows its end date right away, can remind you two days before it ends, and Settings always shows where your plan stands. In redraft leagues, trade verdicts now weigh rest-of-season projected points as much as market value, and the result shows both. The Track Record grades the exact projections behind your lineup advice, and "Your edge" now counts the weeks our lineup would have cost you, too.
1.47.1 Oct 19
A refreshed Fantasy Manager: clearer headlines, roomier player lists and distinct recommendation cards make your next move easier to spot. Copilot now lives in the header, leaving your actions unobstructed. We also refined navigation, forms, detail sheets and light-mode readability, with smoother controls and better accessibility.
1.46.11 Oct 16
Smarter waiver advice checks your whole lineup, including bench and FLEX options, before recommending a move. Live scores no longer create misleading win chances. Missing opponent data is clearly labelled. League and season selections stay in sync after a team change or leaving a league. Faster refreshes for live matchups.
1.46.6 Oct 15
YOUR LINEUP, AS YOU JUST SET IT
Changed your lineup in Sleeper? Switch back and the Lineup tab shows it right away, with the verdict and the coach's read built on the lineup you actually have.
ALWAYS THE CURRENT WEEK
The Lineup tab moves to the new week on its own, even if the app stayed open since the weekend.
ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
Recommendations rest on Sleeper's and ESPN's projections together, MUST START and MUST SIT only appear where such calls were right eight times in ten, and every player's case shows that track record.
1.46.4 Oct 7
TWO PROJECTIONS, ONE CALL
Every recommendation now rests on Sleeper's and ESPN's projections together. Measured on last season's real lineups, the average beat either one alone.
MUST MEANS MUST
MUST START and MUST SIT now only appear where calls like it have been right at least eight times in ten. Everything else is a plain start or sit.
SEE THE TRACK RECORD
Every player's case shows how often a call of that size has been right, so you know how much to trust it.
ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
Free accounts see a weekly recap of what our lineup would have scored, setup no longer ends on an upgrade page, and Pro granted to your account always shows up.
1.46.3 Oct 5
ONLY THE MOVES THAT MATTER
Your lineup now holds a starter who can play until a bench player leads him by a clear margin — a wider one for quarterbacks and tight ends, and a kicker is never swapped on projection alone. Close calls are marked as close calls instead of landing on your fix list. A starter who is out is still flagged right away.
NO MORE GHOST PROJECTIONS
When a player is ruled out late and his projection is withdrawn, he drops out of your recommended lineup at once instead of keeping his old number.
BEST BALL LEAGUES
In a best ball league the lineup sets itself after the games. The Lineup tab now says so instead of listing fixes you cannot make.
SAFER ESPN LOGIN
After you connect an ESPN league, your ESPN session is cleared from the in-app browser.
1.46.0 Oct 3
NO MORE FROZEN SCREENS
Opening a player's profile, Start/Sit or the upgrade page from another sheet could leave the screen unresponsive until you restarted the app. Each one now waits until the previous sheet has fully closed.
ESPN LOGIN, MORE RELIABLE
Logging in with ESPN no longer fails when ESPN takes a moment to finish signing you in: the app waits for ESPN instead of giving up, and tells you clearly when ESPN itself is down.
TRADE CALCULATOR, FIXED
Player values in the trade calculator match the player page again, in every league type and scoring, and an offer you reopen later is priced with today's values. Draft pick prices are current again. And uneven trades are priced fairly now: when you get fewer players back, the open roster spot counts — worth what your league leaves on waivers. Ten bench players no longer add up to one star.
SAFER LEAGUE LOGINS
This update tightens how league logins are tied to your account and how shared trade and draft cards are created. Nothing to do on your side.
ESPN LEAGUES, FRONT AND CENTER
Playing on ESPN — or moved over from NFL Fantasy this year? Setup now leads with connecting your ESPN league: log in with ESPN or paste your league link, private leagues included. No league yet? Try the sample league instead of an empty app.
LOOK AROUND FIRST
Not sure yet? Open a sample league before you make an account: every tab works, from the lineup verdicts to the waiver bids and trade ideas. When you like what you see, one tap takes you to your own Sleeper or ESPN league.
KNOW BEFORE KICKOFF
Turn on one alert from the Lineup tab: we tell you when a starter is ruled out, on IR or on bye while there is still time to swap him out.
INJURED PLAYERS, EVERYWHERE
The GM Advisor now sees every injury designation on your roster and never tells you to start a player who is out, doubtful or questionable.
ASK ABOUT ANY PLAYER
The Copilot can look up any player or team defense, including the free agents in your league: injury, projection, points per game, news and availability.
START/SIT WIN CHANCES, FIXED
Comparing two players who both start now simulates a full lineup.
1.45.8 Oct 2
NO MORE GUESSING ON INJURED PLAYERS
A Questionable player is no longer pushed into your lineup, onto your waiver claims or into trade ideas early in the week. Until the injury report clears him, he's marked "If healthy" on your bench, with who he'd replace once he's confirmed, and "Watch" on the waiver wire. Players who are out, doubtful or on bye are never suggested for this week.
YOUR FIRST GAME DAY, THEN THE TRIAL
After your first Sunday with a league connected, you can start Pro's 7-day free trial right in the app: lineup calls, waiver bids and game-day alerts for your team.
SEASON PASS, WHOLE SEASON
The Season Pass now runs through the Super Bowl of the season you buy it for, whenever you buy it.
LAST WEEK, GRADED
Every Tuesday your Home screen shows what our lineup calls did in your matchup, scored with your league's own points. When a call would have won it, you'll see it. When we got one wrong, you'll see that too.
A STARTER WHO CAN'T SCORE
If someone in your starting lineup is out, on IR or on bye, you get one heads-up before kickoff with who to start instead. The Sunday reminder names him first.
FEWER, BETTER NOTIFICATIONS
Last season's leagues no longer show up next to this season's. New accounts hear from us once in their first two days: your first move, not the news feed.
1.44.0 Oct 1
YOUR LEAGUE'S WEEK, IN ONE PICTURE
Home now shows who topped your league last week, who left the most points on the bench and where you finished. One tap shares the full league report with your group chat, and your league mates can join from the link that comes with it.
EASIER TO GET IN
Can't find your Sleeper username? Your league's link is now the first way in: paste it from sleeper.com and tap your team.
A HEADS-UP BEFORE YOUR PRO WEEK ENDS
Turn on a reminder for the day before your free Pro week ends. Off unless you switch it on.
1.41.0 Sep 29
A WEEK OF PRO, ON US
Connect your team and Pro is on for seven days, long enough for a whole Sunday.
ONE TAP TO THE MOVE
The button on your next move opens your team in Sleeper or ESPN, so you can make the swap right away.
FEWER, BETTER NOTIFICATIONS
News alerts now only cover your own starters before kickoff, and the Sunday reminder names your biggest open lineup move.
1.40.0 Sep 28
NO USERNAME NEEDED
Connect with your league's link instead of guessing your Sleeper username. Paste the address of your league from sleeper.com, or an invite a league mate sent you, and tap your team.
BRING YOUR LEAGUE
Invite your league mates from the League tab. They open your link, tap their own team and they're in. Every league mate who joins earns you free Copilot questions.
YOUR NEXT MOVE, FIRST
The home screen now opens with the one thing to do this week: the swap with both players side by side, one sentence on why, how many points it adds, how it moves your win chance, and when your lineup locks. Lineup, Pickups and Trades each lead with their best move, drawn the same way.
LESS NOISE
Notes about players dropped elsewhere in your league no longer crowd the home screen.
ANDROID NOTIFICATIONS
Push notifications now reach Android phones: lineup locks, injury news for your starters and waiver reminders.
1.39.0 Sep 28
YOUR WEEK, SCORED
When a week ends, the app now shows what your lineup scored, what your opponent scored, and what Pro's lineup call would have scored with your own players. If the bench cost you the matchup, it says so.
ESPN LEAGUES, EARLY ACCESS
Fantasy Manager can now read ESPN leagues, including leagues that moved from NFL.com. We are opening it in stages, starting with the people who asked to test it. Not on Sleeper? Tell us where you play and ask to be notified, from the welcome screens, Settings, or any empty tab. Leagues with a team-QB slot now show that team's starting quarterback, and Settings lets you add, re-sync or disconnect ESPN leagues.
THE EDGE CARD SHOWS UP
The dashboard card with last week's missed points now appears after every scored week. Before, it looked for the week still being played and stayed empty.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
At most one pop-up opens when you launch the app, so reminders no longer stack on top of each other. Buttons that open your league now say where they go.
1.37.1 Sep 26
MADE FOR YOUR SLEEPER LEAGUE
Everything here is read from your Sleeper league: roster, matchups, waiver wire. The app now says so before you sign up and asks where your league runs, so nobody finds out after creating an account.
FIND YOUR USERNAME THE FIRST TIME
The connect screen now shows where your Sleeper username lives before you type, and warns right away when what you entered looks like an email address or a display name.
ONE TAP FROM AN EMPTY TAB TO YOUR LEAGUE
Lineup, Pickups, Trades and League now say what they need when no league is connected, with a Connect Sleeper button that opens the username field directly.
UPGRADING THAT ALWAYS WORKS
The Pro screen now keeps asking the store until it answers, and gets its prices straight from the store when it has to. If prices still don't load, a Try again button sits right on the screen.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
The Tuesday waiver reminder and the Thursday night reminder are now available to every account, and can be switched on or off in Notifications.
1.35.0 Sep 24
THE WIRE, READ BEFORE THE PROJECTIONS CATCH UP
Every pickup now shows what the projection has not priced yet: a snap share that jumped on Sunday ("79% of snaps last game, up from 4%, with 8 targets"), a depth-chart promotion ("Promoted to WR2 · Sep 20"), the latest headline that names him, attributed to its source, and his draw next week. The strongest fact leads the row. The whole picture is one tap away in the player's sheet under WHY NOW, IN THE NEWS, LAST GAME and NEXT UP.
HONEST ON TUESDAY MORNING
Before next week's projections land, nobody gets a CLAIM or an ADD on nothing. A player without a number is a WATCH unless his last game showed the job, and the week card says so instead of pretending your bench beats the wire.
WHAT IT COSTS HERE, AND WHO ELSE NEEDS HIM
Pro now prices a claim on your league's own winning bids ("claims for a RB of his class cost $12–40 here, median $18") and names the rivals with a hole at his position this week, with whether they can outbid you or claim before you. The Tuesday pickups report reads the same facts.
HOW LONG THE MOVE IS FOR
Every claim and add now says its horizon: a one-week stream, a bridge for as long as the injured starter is out ("4+ wks"), or a rest-of-season upgrade. The row carries it, the sheet explains it.
STREAM YOUR DEFENSE AND KICKER
Leagues that start a D/ST or a K now get them on the wire too, judged against the one you start, with the week's implied totals as the reason: "vs HOU, implied 17.5 (2nd-lowest)".
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
Before next week's projections land, the board runs on season form and marks every number with a tilde instead of going blank. Target share, carry share and red-zone share on the case where they mean volume. Drop suggestions rank on the season's numbers, never on the roster's order, and never cut your only defense for a receiver. Every claim and add the tab rates is graded against the week's results, and the week card quotes the record once it is counted. And the Lineup tab no longer names a swap your league cannot make: in a two-quarterback league it paired a benched quarterback with a running back at FLEX. Every move line now names someone who can legally take that slot — or it names nobody.
NO START FOR A MAN WHO DID NOT PRACTISE
A Questionable starter who missed every practice on the final injury report is now planned without: the lineup starts the best player who will suit up, and the swap reads as a repair with its full gain. Once the inactives are out, a man still listed Questionable is back in. Moves for an Out or bye-week starter now show the whole gain instead of subtracting a projection he will never score.
PLAYS THAT EARN THEIR PLACE
Every section of the week's board is graded against where its players actually finished, and shows that record. Sleepers and fades stay paused until at least 10 of their picks have landed and 60% of them were right — the board says so instead of guessing.
1.33.0 Sep 24
EVERY PLAYER, THE WHOLE PICTURE
Tap any player and the verdict card tells you what to expect: the projection with its range, his tier this week, the draw as a coloured badge, and the single strongest reason. Under it, WHY START in green and WHY SIT in red, each reason with its number and its sentence, and last week beside this week: what he did against the defense he faced, and whether the one he gets now is softer or tougher.
LAST WEEK, IN YOUR SCORING
What he actually did on Sunday, next to what we projected: points, the delta, his carries or targets, yards, touchdowns, red-zone looks, and his share of snaps. A player who blew up or vanished shows it here, not in a stat page three taps away.
NEWS THAT NAMES THE SOURCE
The latest lines on every player are back, now from RotoBaller's player news feed: the headline, the read, and a link to the article at the source. Also on the full profile.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
The week's plays board, the setup that asks which app runs your league, and Pro offered only once a league is connected.
1.30.0 Sep 16
EVERY PLAYER HAS A TIER THIS WEEK
Next to the points on every row — starters and bench — sits his tier for the week, 1 to 6, among every player at his position. The verdict says whether he belongs in YOUR lineup; the tier says how good he is this week, full stop. Tap him and the case opens with the tier on top: his rank in the field ("WR9 of 84"), how close the next tier line is, and the football behind it — the matchup, his quarterback, the team-mates who are out, the injury report.
WHEN A TIER MOVES, YOU READ WHY
Went from Tier 2 to Tier 4 since Wednesday? The sheet says what changed: his QB was ruled out, he went Questionable, a team-mate's targets opened up, the line moved. Nothing is asserted that the numbers cannot show.
PROJECTIONS THAT LEARN FROM THEIR MISSES
Every Tuesday the app grades every projection it made against what actually happened — for every player, every source. From week two on, the numbers behind your verdicts are corrected by their own track record: a position the model runs high on gets pulled back, a player it keeps missing on gets his own adjustment. The correction is measured, never guessed, and it grows with the evidence.
THE GAME COUNTS THE MOMENT IT KICKS OFF
Once a player's game is on, his row stops arguing and starts reporting: the points he has, FINAL or LIVE where the verdict was, and how far off his projection he landed. Your score for the week mixes what is in with what is still to come — and so does your opponent's.
NO FIX YOU CANNOT MAKE
A player whose game has started is locked in Sleeper, so the app locks him too. The optimizer keeps him where he stands, never proposes a bench man who has already played, and the coach's briefing leaves him alone.
LIVE ON SUNDAY
The win probability goes LIVE at kickoff and updates every minute while your starters are on the field.
PICKUPS AND TRADES THAT ARGUE THEIR CASE
The waiver wire reads like the lineup: one line per pickup with the verdict, the reason and the exact move. The Trades tab opens on the answer — whether there is a trade worth making this week, which manager to call, what to offer and why. "Check an offer" grades a Sleeper offer from the numbers.
1.27.0 Sep 13
FIVE WORDS, NOT ONE
Every player now carries a verdict you can act on: MUST START, START, RISKY, SIT or MUST SIT. The strong words are earned — a player only gets a MUST when the gap to your next-best option is big enough to stop the debate.
WHO ACTUALLY GETS THE BALL
The row now shows his place on his NFL depth chart next to his team, and says when the room around him has thinned out: the back ahead of him is out, the one behind him is hurt. Projections split a backfield down the middle; a depth chart does not.
WAIT FOR THE FINAL REPORT
Questionable no longer means benched by default. The app reads the official injury report — how he practised and the game status his club filed — and only calls a start risky while that is genuinely open. A full practice on the final report clears him, and the week's headline stops counting him as a problem.
ASK ABOUT ANY DEFENCE
Copilot can look things up mid-answer now: how a defence fares against your position, a team's depth chart, the betting line, your own usage. It tells you when it has nothing rather than guessing.
1.25.0 Sep 11
YOUR LINEUP, DECIDED
The Lineup tab is a decision list now. One card says where the week stands: the open fixes, whether you are the favourite or the underdog, and the one move worth a swing when you are chasing. Every starter and every bench player gets a verdict, START, RISKY or BENCH, with the reason next to it and the number behind the reason.
WHY, NOT JUST WHO
Tap a player for the full case: what speaks for him and against him, the defence he faces on points allowed and on coverage, who around him is missing and how many targets that frees up, how much his offence throws and runs, the Vegas line for his game, and what he did the last time he met this defence.
THE COACH'S READ
Copilot's briefing now writes the two sentences that matter, where the week stands and what has to happen. Its close calls and warnings land on the player they are about, not in a separate card.
LIGHTER, FASTER
The opponent's lineup sits behind a fold, the mode toggle and the game-plan card are gone, and the kickoff lock warning is back for everyone.
1.24.0 Sep 10
YOUR LINEUP, LINE BY LINE
Every starter in the Lineup tab now shows who he plays this week and what that matchup is worth, right on his row. No tapping into a player to find out.
THE BRIEFING ARRIVES IN PARTS
"Optimize my lineup" no longer makes you wait for the whole answer. The swaps land first, then the start/sit calls, the summary, the game plan and the risks — each as soon as it is written, with a progress bar that reflects what the server is actually doing. Ask again for the same lineup and the answer is there at once.
ASK ONCE, ANSWER KEPT
A Start/Sit verdict or a trade analysis you already asked for comes straight back when you open it again, instead of running from scratch — and it no longer costs a free analysis a second time.
THREE FREE ANALYSES, NOW WHERE YOU CAN USE THEM
Every account starts with three analyses. The Lineup tab now shows how many you have left and lets you spend one on this week's lineup: you see how many swaps the optimizer found, at which slots, and what they are worth. The names and the reasoning are Pro.
FOR PRO MEMBERS WITHOUT A LEAGUE
Pro reads your Sleeper roster. If none is connected yet, the app now says so and takes you to the connect step, instead of showing an empty dashboard.
ALERTS, ASKED AGAIN
If you skipped the notification prompt at setup, the dashboard asks once more — for lineup locks and injured starters on game day.
1.23.0 Sep 9
THE LINEUP TAB NOW NAMES THE MOVE
The verdict card used to point out that someone on your bench projected higher. Now the full optimizer runs on your roster, and the card tells you exactly what to change: who comes out, who goes in, at which slot, and what it is worth.
• The points shown are the real difference between your lineup and the optimal one. A bench player who fits two slots counts once, because he can only start once.
• It catches moves a slot-by-slot comparison cannot see, like sliding your flex into RB2 and bringing a receiver off the bench into flex.
• It shows what the change does to your chance of winning the week.
• One tap opens your team in Sleeper, where you actually make it.
SAFE, BALANCED AND BOOM
The three lineup modes switch instantly now, and each one names its own moves with the floor or ceiling points behind them. The toggle used to change a total and nothing else.
THE COPILOT ANSWERS AS IT WRITES
Ask a question and the answer starts appearing right away, instead of leaving you with an empty bubble until the whole thing is finished.
FASTER ALL ROUND
Lineup, waivers, team and league open noticeably quicker, and opening the app no longer loads your dashboard twice.
1.20.3 Sep 3
YOUR TEAMS ARE CALLED WHAT YOU CALL THEM
The trade builder, trade ideas and the rankings named a team after its owner's Sleeper login instead of its team name — and a team renamed in Sleeper never changed here, no matter how often you synced. A team is now called what it is called in Sleeper, everywhere in the app.
THE TRADE INBOX IS OUT
It could not work, so it is gone. An open offer stays private between the teams involved: Sleeper's public API never carries it, and no app reading that API can show it to you. We measured it across 32 leagues and 1,324 transactions before pulling the feature — not a single pending offer among them.
Completed trades are still in your league history. The trade builder, the trade calculator and trade ideas are untouched.
PRO THAT SURVIVES A RESTART
A purchase the store had confirmed but our billing provider had not recorded left the app on Pro for that session and back on Free after a restart. The app now restores such a purchase by itself at launch, instead of waiting for you to find the restore button.
1.20.2 Sep 1
Tuesday is honest now.
