New in 1.3: a young queen founds her colony alone, males join the flight, ants carry a beetle home together, and a common blue caterpillar is tended for its sugar.
A living ant colony in your pocket. Watch it dig a real nest — shafts, chambers, a nursery, a granary — and grow from eight workers into a city of five hundred. Tend it gently and see it answer.
ROOMS WITH JOBS
The colony builds rooms and uses them. Nurses carry eggs from the queen to the nursery, then carry the larvae up to the sun room for the day's warmth and back down at dusk. Foragers fill the granary with seed. Husks are carried out to a pile outside. Every room says what it is.
EVERY LAND, ITS OWN ANT
In the meadow, garden ants tend a herd on the plants for its honeydew, and see off a visiting ladybird. In the desert, honeypot ants hang from the ceiling of the honey room as living jars that swell as they are fed. In the rainforest, a young leaf-cutter colony carries green sails home from the shrubs to a fungus garden it grows underground. And in every colony, once it is big enough, broad-headed majors hatch and stand guard at the doors through the night.
EVERY ANT HAS A NAME
Pip might become your best forager; Maple your hardest digger. The youngest ants nurse, the oldest forage, and each of them lives a whole life. Follow any of them through the nest, zoomed all the way in, or go and find the queen.
TEND, DON'T COMMAND
Drop a pinch of sugar and foragers catch the scent and gather. Your touch matters — but the colony decides. That's the charm: it's alive, not scripted.
A WORLD THAT BREATHES
Days pass, the sky turns, the colony sleeps at night (drop midnight sugar and watch them stir). Rain soaks the soil and leaves fresh seeds. Most mornings a dead fly or beetle lies out, and several ants carry it home together for the larvae. A caterpillar stops to eat the herd's plant until the ants see it off, unless it is a common blue, which they tend for its sugar. A rival scout gets escorted out by a wall of workers. When the colony is grown, winged princesses and males fly at dusk; a young queen lands, sheds her wings, seals herself in and raises her first workers alone — and the mother colony carries on.

OUR PROMISES
• Your colony never suffers for your absence. Nothing ages, starves or is lost while the app is closed. Close it for a month; the colony sleeps, safe.
• Zero ads. Ever.
• Free forever. One optional supporter pack: three more lands, the desert and the rainforest each with its own ant, and the tundra. The meadow colony is whole and free.
Built for people who watched an ant documentary all the way to the end and thought: I wish I could keep one of these.
It’s clearly still in early development as of sep 2026 but it needs a serious update all the ants do is remove the everything instead of making rooms and it stops at 200 ants needs more stuff tbh I hope it gets it soon I don’t really understand what to do there’s nothing in it
Developer Response
Thank you for saying this plainly - you were right, and version 1.1 is the update you asked for. The ants now dig a real nest with rooms: a nursery, a granary, a sun room, each one labelled. Nurses carry the eggs and larvae between them, foragers fill the granary, and the colony grows to 500 ants instead of stopping at 200. Your colony digs its new rooms in front of you the first time you open it. If you give it another look, tap "colony" and then the queen's name to find her.
Ok

It’s a fun watch but all ants do is clear out everything. Shouldn’t they be building rooms like ants do? Also biomes don’t give u different colonies but just change the background. It should have different colonies for each with different activities done by ants.Enjoyable but needs some enhancements.
Developer Response
Thank you - yes, they should, and in version 1.1 they do. The colony now builds rooms like ants do: a nursery, a granary and a sun room, with nurses carrying the brood between them and foragers storing seed. On biomes you are right as well: today they change the world's look, not what the colony does. Colonies that behave differently from one another are what we are working on next. 1.1 is out now, and your colony keeps everything it had.
Great game

It’s a very satisfying game and I do plan on spending the $3 for everything unlocked new areas so on it’s definitely an amazing chill and relaxing game I highly recommend it recommend it
Developer Response
Thank you - that's exactly the feeling it was made for. Version 1.1 is out now, and there is much more to watch: the colony digs a real nest with a nursery, a granary and a sun room, and grows to 500 ants. One honest note on the $3: today the supporter pack is three extra biomes, which change the world's look and colours, not the colony's activities. If you'd like to support the app anyway, thank you very much; if you were hoping for new things to do, hold on to it for now — that is what we are working on next.
Colonies now begin the way real ones do, and the meadow has new visitors.
• A true founding: a young queen lands, sheds her wings, seals herself in and raises her first workers alone. When the seal opens, the colony goes out for the first time.
• Males fly with the princesses on the evening of the nuptial flight.
• Food for the larvae: most mornings a dead fly or beetle lies out on the ground. The first ant to find it lays a trail home, and several carry it in together, down to the nursery. (Leaf-cutters feed their larvae on fungus instead.)
• Ants and caterpillars: the ants tending the herd see off a caterpillar that eats their plant. Now and then it is a common blue, and they tend it in the grass for drops of sugar.
• Each land's ant is named: garden ants, honeypot ants and leaf-cutter ants.
Free for everyone. Your colonies keep everything they have.
