Handing your phone to someone? BeeDay now has a faster way to let them write their own name. Long-press the BeeDay icon to let someone enter their name, add a person manually, or import from Contacts. Also: • Birthday and anniversary reminders are easier to add from the home screen. • At larger text sizes, the cards under Next 30 days no longer cut off the countdown.

Unfolded your iPhone Duo and turned it sideways? BeeDay now opens across both pages, like a book. On the home screen, the next 30 days sit on the left and the months ahead on the right. Open someone and their photo and birthday are on the left, their honeycomb on the right. Also: • At larger text sizes, the cards under Next 30 days no longer cut off the countdown.

Copied someone's birthday from a chat? Just paste it. When you add someone, paste a line like "Lily's birthday is March 3" into the name field. The name and the date land where they belong, lunar dates too, so all that's left is a look before you save. If what you copied looks like a date, a Paste button shows up under the name as well. Also: • On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, say a few things about someone at once and BeeDay splits them into cells. Tick the ones you want and add them together.

Know the name but not the birthday? That's enough now. Tap + and pick Add Name Only. They get their own comb right away, so you can start keeping notes. When the moment's right, open their page and tap Ask for their birthday: it sends them your link, and what they fill in goes to that person, not a new one. Also: • On iOS 27, the full-page widget's comb now runs past the edges, and on someone's birthday a drop of honey falls onto their cell. • A person's page says "Turns 34" and "in 26 days" in the same cell, instead of splitting them across two places. • Fixes for the largest text sizes.

Two things this time. Send a card. On the day itself, a Card button shows up on that person's page: pick one of nine hand-drawn designs — garden, party, nocturne — put their name and a line of your own on it, and send the picture wherever you already talk to them. The hive got a whole page. iOS 27 adds an extra-large widget, and the honeycomb grows into it: twelve people on one home screen page, the next birthday up top, every cell a tap into that person. Slots nobody's in yet stay as empty comb, with a + in the first one for whoever comes next.

Your friends' birthdays come to you now. Share your link, and when someone fills it in, the list says so — "Mom filled in their birthday" sits at the bottom of the screen, waiting. Tap it and they're one more tap from your list. They arrive one at a time. Add the ones you want, swipe left to skip the rest. Links get passed around, so not every name that comes back needs a cell. On the page itself, whoever fills in their own birthday can fill in one more — a parent, a partner, a kid — while they're at it. Also fixed: with iCloud switched off, someone added from a link could show up twice.

Somebody was born today. The list now opens with them — the name, what they did, how old they'd be. Tap it and the encyclopedia entry opens right here, so closing it puts you back on the same row. There's a name for every day of the year and the whole set is already in the app, so the row never waits on a network. When one of your own people shares the day, they become your birthday twin instead. A one-off day keeps its cell after it passes. The wax goes quiet, the date settles under the name, and that's the whole of it — nothing to archive, nothing to tidy away. And the comb is one slab of wax now rather than a tray of tiles: thin walls between the cells, every edge catching the light its own way.

BeeDay is on your wrist now. The comb came with it: raise your arm and the nearest birthday sits in the middle, everyone else spiralling out around it. One finger pans the honeycomb, the days left written big on each cell of wax. Turn the crown for the second screen — everyone, by name. Tap a person and their comb pages past under the crown. The birthday first, then a page for each note and anniversary, one hexagon of wax filling the screen. Shoe size 7, oat latte no sugar — quicker at the table than digging out a phone. The watch fills itself from the phone whenever the two are near, and keeps what it has when they aren't.

Three widgets moved onto the Lock Screen. A round one: a hexagon, an initial, the days left in big numbers — a cake when the day is here. A wide one that names who's next and murmurs the one after in grey. And an inline one for the line beside the clock. Tap any of them and you land on that person, not on the front door. The bee dresses for the room now — a dark icon and a tinted one, following your home screen. The widgets hold their shape under a tint too: the cells go quiet and outlined. The friend link is a card you can hand someone. A bee in a honey hexagon, the link sitting right there to copy, one button to send it — and when it lands in a chat, the other side sees a real preview. Small things: the home screen reads in groups now, with today under a heading of its own. Switches turned honey. Every comb cell is the same height, on everyone's page.

The widgets moved into the hive. The small one is a single comb cell now — whoever's next, counted down in wax and honey. The medium one seats three. And there's a large one: seven birthdays in a real honeycomb, with a bee peeking in from the corner. Every cell is a door. Tap a person and their comb opens, not just the app. And when the next month holds more birthdays than the widget has cells, a little +2 in the corner says so. The Lock Screen learned what midnight means. A birthday that was today steps down when the day ends — and if the system keeps it around till morning, it says "yesterday" like an honest bee.

Holidays, if you want them. Pick your regions in Settings and the days worth marking turn up at home — Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn, Thanksgiving, Boxing Day, thirty of them across five places. Same quiet row an anniversary gets, same reminders. Off until you pick. Siri knows everyone now. Ask her when Mom's birthday is, or say open Mom and her comb is right there. A solar birthday wears its star sign. Tap it and it has something to say. Only know a name? Add them now, fill the day in whenever you learn it. A cell can remind you once instead of every year. Tap a reminder and it opens that person, not just the app. Everyone further out lives in a hive of their own, A to Z. Later breaks up by month. The comb picked up a texture, and today's cell catches the light as you scroll.

Every person now has a comb. Open someone up and their birthday sits alongside anything else worth remembering — an anniversary, the day you met, how they take their coffee. The dated ones get the same reminders birthdays do, lunar included. Press and drag a cell to move it, or drag it down to the bee and she'll carry it away. On the day itself, their hexagon stays on your lock screen from morning to night. Your birthday link collects one of those notes too, in their own words. Something off?
