Instead of designing an icon and then rebuilding or converting it for every platform, you work from a single 1024 × 1024 source and create the sizes, appearances, layers, and platform-specific assets you need. DESIGN WITH EDITABLE LAYERS Build your icon directly in Icon Foundry using shapes, text, SF Symbols, and imported artwork. • Create shapes, text, and SF Symbols • Import SVG, PDF, PNG, and JPEG files by file picker or drag and drop • Keep imported SVG artwork as vector data for sharp rendering at every size • Organize artwork with groups, alpha masks, locking, isolation, search, and reusable layer styles • Position, resize, rotate, align, duplicate, and nudge layers using the mouse or precise numeric values Everything remains editable throughout the design process. FILLS, GRADIENTS, EFFECTS, AND CUSTOM COLOR PALETTES Create anything from simple flat icons to detailed, layered designs while keeping your colors consistent throughout the project. Icon Foundry supports solid fills, multi-stop linear and radial gradients, freeform gradients, strokes, opacity, blend modes, drop shadows, inner shadows, outer glow, Gaussian blur, and Liquid Glass controls. Create a custom color palette for each project and save the colors and gradients that define your app, brand, or client. Your palette stays with the project, giving you quick access to the same colors throughout the design process without having to recreate or copy them. Effects remain fully editable and use the same rendering system on the canvas and in the final exported artwork. ONE DESIGN, MULTIPLE APPEARANCES An app icon often needs more than one version. Start with a shared Base Design and add platform-specific designs where needed. You can also create Dark, Clear, Tinted, and Mono appearances, as well as exact-size overrides for artwork that needs adjustment at smaller sizes. Icon Foundry automatically selects the appropriate design for each preview and export target. PREVIEW AT ACTUAL ICON SIZES Check how your icon will look before exporting it. Preview icons for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, Android, Windows, and websites at their actual output sizes. Switch between masks and backgrounds, inspect pixel grids, and display platform-specific safe-area guides. Built-in validation can identify issues such as: • Transparency where it is not allowed • Missing artwork • Missing fonts or SF Symbols • Invalid geometry • Android safe-zone problems • Missing export roles This makes it easier to catch problems before submitting or publishing your app. EXPORT COMPLETE ICON SETS Icon Foundry can generate individual images or complete platform packages directly from your project. Apple Export a 1024 px PNG master, Icon Composer-ready layer sources, current and legacy Xcode asset catalogs, macOS iconset and ICNS files, and Apple Watch assets. Android Generate adaptive and monochrome icons, legacy launcher icons, round launcher icons, Google Play artwork, and the required resource XML. Windows Create a multi-resolution ICO together with Microsoft Store, tile, splash, target-size, scale-factor, and MSIX visual assets. Web Generate favicon ICO files, browser PNGs, an Apple touch icon, and ready-to-use HTML markup.
