The app is built for investigators, journalists, and privacy conscious users who need complete control over image and video metadata. Inspect raw tags, edit specific parameters, verify integrity with cryptographic hashes, or wipe all tracking indicators. FEATURES • DEEP METADATA VIEWER: View raw EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and MakerNotes tags with full categorization, including camera lens details, focal lengths, and capture settings. • TARGETED METADATA EDITING: Modify or add individual metadata tags. Change GPS locations, timestamps, camera models, copyright fields, and author credentials. • BATCH SANITIZATION: Select multiple files or entire directories to strip location tracking, device markers, and camera metadata. • PDF FORENSIC CERTIFICATES: Generate signed forensic audit documents. Each certificate contains cryptographic hash signatures (MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, and SHA3) and a detailed Forensic Action Log showing all edits to prove chain of custody. • ABSOLUTE ZERO TELEMETRY: Enable a strict air gap mode that blocks all outbound network requests, including MapKit lookup, to guarantee mathematically zero network traffic. • OFFLINE SECURITY: All processing is performed locally on your Mac. MetaWrite does not use cloud servers, require accounts, or collect user data.
