Nothing new to see in this one, and that's deliberate. This update is entirely under the hood: it lets us see where the app is letting people down — which step of first run loses them, whether the share sheet is working, what happens when a capture comes back empty. None of it changes what the app does, and none of it collects anything you've typed or cooked. The next update is the one with the cooking in it. Shop the way you actually cook. • Your weekly plan is something you can cook from now — tap any planned meal to open the recipe. No more looking it up again to get to the steps. • One shopping list for the whole week, built from that plan. Merged and grouped by aisle, so two recipes that both want garlic make one line, and anything already in your kitchen is left off. • Every ingredient on a recipe is tickable, including the ones your pantry thinks you have. They start unticked and say so, rather than disappearing — untick what you don't need, or tap Add everything and go. • Share a comment to save a recipe. Creators often put the ingredients in the first comment instead of the caption: select it, tap Share, choose The Pantry Butler. • When a post doesn't hold the recipe, we now tell you where it probably is instead of guessing at the creator's blog. A diary for the way you actually eat. • The Food Diary — every meal, not just the ones you cooked from a recipe. Cooking and Dining sit side by side, so a restaurant, a friend's kitchen and a Tuesday night at home all land in the same place. • Log a meal in one sheet: a photo, where you were, who you were with, and the occasion. The photo is asked for up front, because it's the bit you'll want later. • Your month in cooking — a recap card you can share, built only from photos you took of food you actually made. • Your cooking in numbers: what you cook most, how often, and what you haven't made in a while. • Who you cooked for, kept with the meal. • New this week in Discover — what other cooks have saved in the last seven days, by recency rather than popularity. • Creator credit now works end to end, and there's somewhere to type a creator's code. • Fixes from a full audit pass, including a stats card that was quietly counting the wrong thing. Your recipes, more yours. • Notes — jot down what you changed. Halved the sugar, 20 minutes not 30. Private to you. • Share a recipe — send any recipe to someone with a link. They can open it without the app. • Made it? Add your photo. It replaces the stock shot on your copy, and we'll hand you a card sized for Instagram, TikTok or Facebook stories. • Cook mode on Android, keeping the screen awake and walking you through one step at a time. • Hundreds of missing recipe photos restored, and no more grey placeholder cards in your library. • Saving from a link tells you what actually happened when a post doesn't carry the recipe — and follows the creator's own recipe link when it does. • We stopped hiding the "you're at the free limit" notice exactly when it mattered. Add your own photo to any recipe, and see at a glance when a post didn't share its ingredients.

Add your own photos. Any recipe without a picture can now have one — tap Add a photo on the recipe. Photos when you save. Saving a recipe from a post now brings its picture across automatically. We tell you when we're unsure. Some posts don't share their ingredients, and we used to fill in the gaps by guessing. Now we say so, and hand you the title and photo to finish yourself, instead of inventing a recipe that was never there. A cleaner look. Proper icons throughout, in place of emoji. Also fixed. Signing out now properly ends your session. Deleting your account tells you if something goes wrong instead of failing quietly.

Save recipes you find. Browsing the recipe library was read-only — now every recipe has a Save button, and tapping the heart on a recipe that isn't yours saves it to your collection and favorites it in one tap. Discover. Browse the full public recipe library right in the app, with photos, search and filters. Better expiration dates. Set your own use-by date on any item, see everything expiring in one place, and mark something “Still good” when we guessed wrong. Fixes. Recipe photos now show in list view. Signing out now properly ends your session. Deleting your account tells you if something goes wrong instead of failing quietly.

Your pantry at a glance. The Pantry tab now opens with a summary — what's expiring, how many recipes use those items up, what's on your shopping list, and how much you have in total. Tap any row to go straight there.
