OnKalo: Calorie Photo Counter

Snap your plate, get calories

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Snap your plate and check the calories on the spot. TikTok recipe import, your nutritionist's plan, and a barcode scanner that's free forever. Snap a photo of your plate and you're done: OnKalo identifies the food, estimates portions, and shows calories and macros — with you checking everything before it's saved. Every number shows its source. When a food matches a nutrition table (TACO, USDA), the value comes from there. When it's an AI estimate, it says so. No invented precision. LOG YOUR WAY • Top-down photo (plus a side shot for extra accuracy) • Free text: "steak, rice and salad" becomes an editable list • Barcode scanner free forever — works even without an account • Saved meals, repeat yesterday, quick calorie entry • No time now? Drop it in the Inbox and sort it out later, even offline RECIPES THAT COUNT RIGHT • Paste a link from TikTok, Reels, or any website — or the whole text • Cups, spoons, and pinches become grams, always flagged as estimates • Nutrition per serving, per 100 g, and for the whole recipe • Cook Mode: full-screen steps, timers inside the steps, screen always awake PLAN YOUR WEEK • Import your nutritionist's plan from a photo, PDF, or text — it becomes organized meals with times and substitutions • Or build a weekly plan with AI from your preferences • Shopping list grouped by grocery aisle TRACK YOUR BODY, NOT JUST YOUR WEIGHT • Weight, body fat, lean mass, and 8 body measurements • Private progress photos, stored only on your device, with a before-and-after slider • Apple Health: scale weight arrives as a proposal — you confirm or discard it • Water, fasting (12:12 to 18:6), gentle challenges, and activity • Supplements and meds with reminders, stock tracking, and injection-site rotation for the weekly pen NO GUILT, FOR REAL • Over your goal? An amber note, never a red alarm — and Kalo, our jaguar, doesn't get sad • Gentle Mode: show, soften, or hide calories, weight, and streaks without deleting any data • Goals with a safety floor: recommendations never go below your resting energy AI ON YOUR TERMS • OnKalo Complete: AI included in your plan, nothing to set up • OnKalo Freeform: bring your own Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI key, stored only on your device • Visible costs and tokens, consent before each type of upload YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS • No ads, no data selling • Export everything to a file, revoke consents, delete your account anytime • 7 or 30-day report for your appointment: PDF or a revocable link OnKalo is an educational tool and doesn't replace doctors or dietitians. Monthly, 6-month, or yearly subscription — price and free trial are shown by the store before you confirm.
