The Advanced course and the Decision trainer. Advanced course, for 1500–2100: calculation and plans. Read the pawn structure, decide the move and play out the line, your moves and your opponent's. The first unit is free. Decision trainer, in the Practice Lab: choose your move and calculate five moves ahead. Then step through the line and ask why each move is played, your opponent's too. Middlegame Lab: every structure now shows its pawns marked and each side's plan drawn on the board.

Your choices, kept. The automatic analysis switch now remembers what you picked instead of turning itself back on. If your analyses cost credits or use your own API key, it starts off, so nothing is spent unless you ask. On narrow phones, the Settings gear on the home screen no longer disappears. Plus small visual touches.

The coach explains your mistakes at the right moment. With "Auto-analyze errors" on, the bot now waits for you to read the coach's explanation of a mistake before it replies, and Undo stays off until you close it. The setting also tells you what each automatic explanation uses: one credit or free analysis, or one call to your own AI API key.

Play without interruptions. If you play without an account, a sign-in window no longer pops up in the middle of your game after a mistake. Instead, the coach shows a small note offering it, and it only opens if you tap it. When you first open the app, skipping the intro now takes you to the sign-in screen, where you can still choose "Maybe later".

Your HU Chess profile, fixed and editable. You now pick your country when you create your profile, and the bug that stopped some phones from saving it is gone. From Settings you can change your country any time and your nickname once, and the change applies straight away. If you don't have a player name yet, the lobby now asks for it more clearly.

The Middlegame Lab is here. 25 pawn structures explained the way a book would: what they are, who stands better and the plan for each side. Practise spotting them in positions from real games — you say what the structure is and where the game is played, and the board shows you, marking the pawns that define it and drawing the plan. Each structure also brings its own tactics, with Storm and Streak, and a game you can play from it against an opponent at the level you choose.

• The coach now knows which colour you are playing. When it commented on your opponent's move, it spoke to you as if you had played it. • Draw by insufficient material: if your opponent runs out of time but cannot deliver mate, it's a draw (FIDE rule). • Draws now get their own end-of-game screen instead of showing as a defeat. • HU Chess: a finished game no longer blocks you from sitting at another table.

The Endgame Lab now gives you the right move. Ask for a hint and you get the exact best move for that position, the same one every time — and in the starting position, the very move the chapter teaches. It also warns you before a third repetition, instead of the exercise ending in a draw with no notice. Without a connection it still works, using the engine on your device.

The Intermediate course is here, our third level. 20 units and 91 lessons for when you know how to move and want to really play: tactics, pawn structures, rook and queen endgames, and three openings you learn from both sides. Every lesson mixes theory, exercises and play on the board, and you don't move on until the position works. Also in this version: • Opening Trainer: playing as Black, the green arrow now shows on the very first move. • As Black, your name and the pieces you have won sit on your side of the board, not above your opponent. • Course opening lessons now teach the line their text promises. • Endgames: the pieces slide again when they move, and asking for a hint no longer leaves the screen waiting. • Finishing a game launched from the course path, the button now says where it actually takes you.

ENDGAME LAB — The 100 endgames you must know, learn the technique and then practise it against an opponent who doesn't miss. OPENING LAB — Play your repertoire against an opponent who plays like a person, not like a flawless machine. Also: dates and times now show in your own language, and plenty of smaller fixes.
