A 90% smaller download, and Apple's on-device model where your iPhone has it. • SoloNote is now about 120 MB instead of 1.2 GB. On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, Tidy, Summarise and Answer from your notes run on Apple's on-device model — nothing more to download. On other iPhones, SoloNote's own model arrives from the App Store in the background after installing, and you can use the app meanwhile; Settings › On-device model shows the progress. • Either way, your notes are processed on your phone and never sent anywhere. • Requires iOS 26. Yen receipts now save themselves on iOS 26. • Capture a receipt priced in yen — a convenience store slip, a PayPay payment screen, a restaurant bill — and it goes straight to Spending with the right currency, as it should. On iOS 26, Apple's new document reader was dropping the ¥ sign, so SoloNote couldn't tell yen from anything else and asked you to pick a currency every time. SoloNote now notices when that happens and reads the receipt with the text reader that keeps the sign. Nothing else about how receipts are read has changed: the amount, shop and date are still found by rules, never guessed. • Shop names come out cleaner on Spending when a receipt's header was read in two pieces. Everything still happens on your iPhone. No account, no cloud, nothing sent anywhere.

After updating, SoloNote refreshes its search index once in the background; Search and Ask keep working while it does. Everything still happens on your iPhone. SoloNote 3.0 turns screenshots into plans. • Capture: choose a screenshot, take a photo, or share one from any app. Dates become reminders, places go on a trip, deadlines become to-dos, and receipts go to Spending. • Today: reminders, to-dos and trip days on one page, with the next thing on top. SoloNote now opens here. • Spending: receipts totalled by month and category. • A weekly summary note every Sunday evening (switch it off in Settings). • Chat is now Search & Ask: ask a question in Search and get an answer from your own notes, with the notes it used. Summarise and Ask about this note are in every note's menu. • Import PDFs, Word files and photos of pages as notes. • Tidy rewrites in place, and Restore brings the original back. • Reminders can also be added to your calendar. • Web search has been removed: nothing you type is sent to a search service.

IMPROVED • Dictation is now tap to start, tap to stop — speak for as long as you like. Everything above happens on your device, exactly as before.

Never lose a date buried in a note. SoloNote now spots dates as you write — "dentist checkup on Tuesday" — and offers a reminder in one tap. You can also set one by hand from the editor. Reminders stay on your device as local notifications; nothing is written into your calendar. Some notes are nobody else's business. Swipe a note to lock it and it disappears from your list, your search results and Chat. Face ID, or your passcode, opens the vault. Straighter answers in Chat. When your notes don't actually contain the answer, SoloNote now says so instead of assembling a confident-sounding guess. And where a note holds more than one possible answer, it shows you that sentence and names the note, rather than quietly choosing one. A blank note, one tap from your Home Screen. Add the new SoloNote widget to your Home or Lock Screen. It shows none of your writing — it is a way in, not a window. Settings now has its own tab, with a box to tell us what SoloNote should do next. We read every message.

Ask questions about your documents. Attach a PDF, Word file, or a photo of a printed page in Chat. SoloNote reads it entirely on your device — including tables — and answers from what's actually in the document. Tables done properly. Column headers stay attached to their rows, tables split across pages are read as one, and totals are calculated exactly rather than generated — so the figures you get back are the figures in your file. Scanned pages and photos. Point your camera at a printed page and SoloNote pulls the text out. Longer conversations stay stable. Fixed a memory problem that could cut a chat short after several detailed questions.
