In todays world it's extremely easy to find Bible content but at times we all struggle to be known.
You can read a devotional every morning for a year and still feel like a stranger to your own faith. The words are true. They're just not for you. Not for the marriage that's straining. Not for the doubt you never say out loud. Not for the season you can't quite name.
Rooted was built for that gap.
Why we made this
Spiritual formation has always happened in relationship. A mentor who remembers your last conversation. A pastor who knows your history. A friend who asks the second question, not just the first. That kind of attention changes people. But most of us don't have it. Not on a Tuesday morning. Not at 11pm when the ache shows up.
Rooted is our attempt to bring that kind of attentive presence into the ordinary rhythm of a life but not to replace the needed connection with human community. But if we were all honest there are times in life where you need and want to process the storms before sharing. This aims at giving you that space while bringing truth into the context.
Where we stand on AI
We'll say it plainly. Rooted uses AI, and we think that's good. Not because technology is the point it isn't. But because AI can finally do something a printed devotional never could. It can listen. It can remember what you said last week. It can meet you in the specific, unrepeatable place you're actually standing, instead of the generic place a curriculum assumes you are and can create the devotion, personalized to you in the moment you need it.
We don't believe AI is a substitute for God, for Scripture, for the Church, or for the people who love you. It isn't. It's a tool, the way a study Bible is a tool, the way a good question from a friend is a tool. What makes a tool worth using is whether it points you somewhere true. We built Rooted to point you toward Scripture, toward honesty, and toward the God who was already pursuing you before you opened this app.
What you say here stays here
You cannot be honest with something you don't trust. So let's be clear about what happens to your words. Your reflections are private. No other user can see them. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't hand your story to anyone. Your conversations are encrypted and access controlled, and they exist to serve one purpose: your formation. The honest thing you're afraid to say out loud is exactly the thing Rooted was built to hold. Say it.
How it works
You speak. It listens. Rooted is voice-first by design. Say what's actually going on, messy and unpolished and half-formed. That's where formation starts. It gets to know you. Your story, your season, what you're carrying. Rooted builds a path shaped by that, not by an algorithm's guess at the average believe. Growth has a shape.
