You set the fares now. Build hubs, outprice your rivals, then buy them outright. 385 real airports, real economics. One-time unlock — no subscription.
You start with $20 million and an empty hangar. Where you take it is up to you.
Airline Architect is a deep, realistic airline-management sim. Buy or lease your fleet, open routes across a living world of real airports, hire crews, and grow a one-plane startup into a global carrier, all while the simulation never pauses.
MATCH THE RIGHT AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT MARKET
A genuine passenger-demand model makes route selection the whole game — a big jet on a thin route flies half-empty, and a small one leaves money on the table. Thirty-plus real-world aircraft, from short-field turboprops to the largest widebodies, each with real range, capacity, and economics.
RUN A REAL OPERATION
• Own your fleet — buy new, lease, or hunt the used-aircraft market. Every airframe ages, and old metal costs more to keep flying.
• Crews follow real duty and rest limits — one crew can't fly forever, so staffing is a genuine decision.
• Weather, mechanical failures, and crew shortages surface as live choices you resolve while every other aircraft keeps flying. The clock never stops.
GO DEEP, NOT JUST WIDE
• Establish hubs and build airport clubs to fortify a city, hold off competitors, and build loyalty — with a live payback view so you know if it's working.
• Fund expansion with loans — or take your airline public, with a live share price, activist investors, and a board that can vote you out.
• Reached the top? Scout rival carriers and acquire them — then survive the messy integration.
A WORLD THAT FEELS ALIVE
• 380+ real airports across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific — including exotic island strips only the right aircraft can reach.
• Real seasons — hurricane season, winter storms, and monsoon shape where and when disruptions strike.
• A day/night line sweeps across the map, and real airport night curfews close cities to late departures — a real cost of flying there.
• Rival carriers contest your most profitable routes and fly fleets true to the real world.
Speed time up to 25×, watch the revenue roll in, and keep the whole network flying.

I’ve really enjoyed playing this game. It realistically captures what it must be line to build a company from the ground up. Making decisions like choosing my initial routes and appropriate type of plane and seeing how those decisions affected my bottom line was amazing. Experimenting with allowing my airline to grow organically versus taking advantage of loans to grow my airline faster was really cool. There are so many layers to this game. For example , once my airline was established, I could see how much competition I had from other carriers, and choose to do things like establishing a hub, doing an ad campaign, providing loyalty program, etc. Great game!

Thank you — “building a company from the ground up” is the whole idea behind the game, so it means a lot that it came through. Those early route and aircraft calls really do compound as you scale, and it’s great to hear you’re feeling the weight of them. Appreciate you playing!
I like it

cool game. i like looking at all the numbers for how well my planes and routes r doing. would like for it to be easier to move planes from one route to another. Mexico city offered me cash to open a route, so i did. The route is active, but with no plane assigned. i’d like to be able to move one of my active planes to that route, but i can’t find a way to do that. also the $6/month premium seems high until the game is more polished. very fun tho looking forward to the next updates

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review. I'm really glad you're enjoying digging into all the route and aircraft numbers! You’re absolutely right about moving aircraft between routes. We’ve heard that feedback, and version 1.1.5, shipping today, makes it much easier to reassign aircraft to a different route — including situations like your Mexico City route. We also appreciate the feedback on Premium and pricing. Airline Architect is still very new, and feedback like this is incredibly helpful as we keep improving and expanding the game. Thanks for being an early player and sticking with us. Lots more to come!
Such a fun game!

Really fun game! Very easy to learn. Has an incredible level of depth and detail.
Developer Response
Thank you — this really made my day. “Easy to learn but deep” is exactly what I was going for, so I’m thrilled it landed that way. There’s even more to dig into as your airline grows — crew, disruptions, acquisitions — so I hope it keeps surprising you. Thanks for flying with us! ✈️
Have to pay to use

I downloaded it, it seemed cool. Once you get 5 route it doesn’t let you make anymore routes u less you pay for a subscription of 10 a month or 40 a year. The gameplay seems good but I think there should be other incentives on playing the game such as if you want to buy more money to progress faster I should be able to pay for that I shouldn’t need to pay a monthly subscription to play this game. There are other airline manager games that are free. This one isn’t worth it.
Developer Response
Thanks for giving it a shot. I really appreciate the kind words on the gameplay. Quick correction: it's $5.99/month or $49.99/year (about $4/month), not $10/$40, and it isn't a paywall on a paid game. The whole core loop is free; you can build and run a real airline up to 5 routes without paying a cent. The subscription just lifts the cap so you can grow bigger. On buying money to progress faster: I chose not to do that on purpose. I didn't want a game where whoever spends the most wins, which is exactly how a lot of the "free" airline games work. This is a deep simulation with a real economy, live competitors, and saved careers. That takes ongoing work to build and keep running, and the subscription is what funds that instead of selling shortcuts. Free alternatives exist and no hard feelings if one fits better, but they're usually a different kind of game. If you stick around, I'd love to hear what would make it worth it for you.
More save-and-load smoothing: opening the load menu and switching between games is now quicker, with no brief pauses on larger airlines.
Thanks for flying with us.
