When in doubt, cast the jiaobei. Write what’s on your mind, hold to shake, and release to cast—a small ritual for reflection. Some questions do not need an immediate answer. With Jiaobei, write down what is on your mind, hold to shake two traditional moon blocks, and release to let them fall naturally. Each cast reveals one of three traditional responses: Shengbei A positive response, suggesting permission or a favorable direction. Xiaobei The question may be unclear. Consider reflecting or asking it differently. Yinbei A negative response, suggesting that the timing or direction may not be right. The hold-to-shake and release-to-cast interaction gives each response a natural sense of variation. Repeated results also receive different wording, making the feedback feel more layered.
