Write your own benti and the Ardaas is composed around it, in Gurmukhi, transliteration and English. Two traditional texts. Works entirely offline.
Ardaas is for the part of the prayer that is yours.
You write your benti — what you are actually asking for — and the app places it into the Ardaas at the traditional point, so you can read the whole prayer through in one continuous flow.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Write a personal benti and have it composed into the Ardaas at the proper place
• Save as many as you like, each with its own label — a family Ardaas, one for a paath, one for a difficult week
• Name what the prayer is for: pick a paath or an occasion and it fills the "….." the Ardaas leaves open for exactly that purpose, or write your own words
• Read in Gurmukhi, Roman transliteration and English translation — all three together, or only the ones you want
TWO ARDAAS TEXTS
The standard (SGPC) text and the Buddha Dal text, both complete, both with all three layers. They genuinely differ, so the app keeps them distinct rather than flattening them into a single version.
TRANSLATION THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Prefer to write in English? Tap Translate to Gurmukhi. The translation runs on your iPhone, using a model the app downloads once (about 358 MB, on Wi-Fi, and it asks first). Nothing you write is ever uploaded. The Gurmukhi is yours to edit and the transliteration updates as you type. The app tells you plainly that the result is a machine translation and asks you to read it before saving.
If you would rather type Gurmukhi directly, the app shows you how to add the Punjabi keyboard.
SOURCES AND ACCURACY
The Gurmukhi is cross-checked against independent sources — all listed in the app under About & Sources — and proof-read before every change. Errors in the text are treated as the most serious kind of defect. If you find one, please report it.
PRIVACY
No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Nothing you write leaves your phone. Apart from the one-off translation model download, Ardaas works entirely offline.
