FAIR BY CONSTRUCTION
Logic fields are laid out uniformly at random, then certified solvable before you ever tap. Nothing is shaped to be safe, so the fields keep the real game's clusters, open pockets and ragged edges - Onyx simply refuses any layout its solver cannot finish.
TWELVE THEMES, SIX FAMILIES
Bronze and Pearl. Silver and Frost. Oxblood and Rose. Ink and Porcelain. Verdigris and Sage. Aubergine and Lilac. Each family is a light and a dark twin, with themed, classic or mono number colours.
A HINT, NOT A HANDOUT
Hints walk you through the reasoning before showing the answer, using only the clues already visible to you. Covered cells are never inspected.

They obviously put a lot of work into the game. The UI is clean with no clutter, no micro transactions, no ads and very nice icons. Polish they have nice puzzles and it is very entertaining.
No landscape shaped play field

The puzzle area seems to be permanently oriented in portrait style. You can turn your iPad in landscape to play a game horizontally, but the game board remains in portrait… so to fill up your screen, you have to pinch zoom and then use your finger to scroll around the game area. I really wish the Minesweeper play area would auto rotate to fill the screen landscape instead of maintaining its portrait view… I did see that it’s possible to create a custom play area and you can adjust the rows and columns to create a landscape shape but this is not really what I’m talking about. It would be great for the play area to auto scale to landscape or portrait, depending on how you need to rotate your iPad so that depending on how your day is going, you can maintain the same game.
