Can’t tell what it’s looking at

I’m not sure this thing is very accurate. But then it’s hard to see where it’s looking. I tried pointing it up at a street light but the reading was very low. Also, I assume the little camera icon in the upper left is supposed to switch to the front camera but every time I select it, the app crashes.

• New: Screen Light — turn your whole screen into a soft white, warm or red light with adjustable brightness. • New: self-timer — set 3, 5 or 10 seconds, put your phone down and step back, so your own shadow stays out of the reading. • Shutter speed, ISO and aperture are now shown in the camera view. • Various refinements and fixes.
