Homestead Companion
Private farm & garden records
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Homestead Companion is the complete, private record-keeping app for people who run a mixed homestead — animals, garden, and everything in between.
It lives entirely on your phone. There's no account to make, no cloud to sync to, no ads, and nothing watching what you do. Every task, harvest, expense, and animal record you create stays on your device.
A COMPLETE HOMESTEAD MANAGER — FREE
RUN THE WHOLE PLACE FROM ONE APP
Tasks, reminders, and a calendar for the whole operation — recurring or one-off, working fully offline
Budget and finances — log income and expenses across the homestead, with reports
Garden — beds, plantings, and harvest logs with running totals
Local weather for your place
A photo gallery organized into albums
Notes for anything that doesn't fit a form
One-tap export of your schedule to your phone's calendar (.ics)
ADD ONLY THE ANIMALS YOU KEEP
Homestead Companion starts as a complete free app. When you're ready, unlock the animal modules you actually need — each is a one-time purchase, yours forever, no subscription:
POULTRY — flocks and individual birds, coops, egg logs, feed and supplements, hatchery and breeding, and full health records
GOATS — your herd, milk logs, kidding records, fiber, feed, and health
RABBITS — the rabbitry, breeding and litters, daily care, weights, feed, and health
Each module folds into the free core: its tasks show up on your calendar, its income and costs land in your budget, and its reminders fire alongside everything else. Buy one, buy all three, or none — the free app is complete on its own.
NEVER MISS A DUE DATE
Reminders for tasks, feedings, breedings, health checks, and bills
Local notifications that work fully offline
PRIVACY-FIRST, BY DESIGN
Your records are stored only on your device, never on a server
No account, no signup, no email required
No advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking
The app reaches the network only for feature-tied things: your approximate location sent to Open-Meteo if you turn on weather (they don't retain it); audio sent to Apple's built-in speech recognition if you use voice-to-text (not stored by us); and purchase validation through the App Store
BUILT BY A SOLO MAKER
Homestead Companion was built because homestead record-keeping is scattered across notebooks, spreadsheets, and apps that want your data. This one keeps everything in one place and keeps it yours. If you delete the app, your data goes with it. That's the point.
Module unlocks are one-time purchases and support Family Sharing.
