IMPROVED AND FIXED • Safer iCloud sync: if your iCloud data can't be opened, sync no longer turns itself off; Keel tells you you're looking at a local copy and lets you switch back with Use iCloud Data • If sync was turned off after an earlier update and your entries seem gone, don't upload local data: open Settings › Privacy & Sync, turn sync back on and choose Use iCloud Data • Before Upload Local Data replaces iCloud, Keel compares entry counts on both sides and asks again if iCloud has clearly more • Restoring from iCloud tells you when it has stalled and offers Retry • Accounts holding assets or several currencies show their balance in the account's own currency • Liquidity Runway no longer leaves out a cash account's balance and income after you buy an asset in it • Record Dividend now matches the trade sheet and lets you change the receiving account; prices use the usual decimal places for their market, and custom assets let you pick your own • Fixed tapping + showing nothing when adding an entry wasn't allowed

NEW • Custom account icons: give an account or account group text, an emoji or a photo as its icon. Tap Customize when choosing the institution • Offset Balances: when someone owes you and you also owe them, offset the two from their counterparty page. Both sides go down by the same amount; no account moves and nothing counts as income or spending • Convert to Counterparty…: a cash, other asset or other liability account you have really been using for one person can be converted from the account's ⋯ menu. Transfers become money lent, collected, borrowed or repaid, spending paid from it becomes paid by someone else, and the account is cleared and archived • Importing from another budgeting app, you can map an account that is really a person to Counterparty…, so its loans and paybacks arrive as settlement entries • More filters: Scope in the Journal can also filter by category, account and amount range, and the same scope now works in an account's entries and in search results. A project's breakdown can switch to By tag (tap a tag to list that project's entries carrying it), and a tag can show By project • Time of day when recording: tap the date and change the time in the calendar. It shows next to the date only once you change it, and entries recorded without a time no longer show 00:00 IMPROVED AND FIXED • Change Rate on a loan can now switch to a different rate rule from the effective date (Indexed, Stepped or Fixed), and a new loan with a stepped rate schedules each step's interest from the start • Card installments set up from a card's unscheduled balance can start before today, moving only the principal not yet due, and show period numbers the way your bank does (for example 7 of 12) • Quick Capture now has its own page under Settings › Assistant, Siri & Shortcuts. On the confirmation card, Don't Record asks whether to keep the capture in To Do or discard it, and the suggested account and category are more accurate • Tap anywhere on a transaction row to open it • Opening Keel while iCloud sync was writing could occasionally mistake a book for damaged and stop on the screen that says it can't be opened; fixed • Importing from another app during setup now starts by choosing the source app USING MORE THAN ONE DEVICE? If you use the same book on several devices, or a shared book, please update every device to 1.5.0. Older versions don't show custom icons (they keep the institution logo or symbol), and editing such an account on an older version removes its custom icon. Offsets appear there as ordinary settlement entries, and the amounts owed stay correct.

NEW • Keel now speaks German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian. Choose a language in Settings › Language • Split a bill: when you split a transaction, add lines for what friends owe you (They owe me) or what you owe them (I owe them), pick several people and Split evenly (including me). The transaction shows who still owes you, and Collect records the payback. Split… now sits right below the account • Paid by someone else: when recording an expense, choose Paid by Someone Else… under Account and pick who paid. It's kept as what you owe them, to repay later under Receivables & Payables • Settlements: record what was already owed before you started with an Opening Balance, use Reconcile Balance to match what someone really owes, Adjust Amount Owed to write off or forgive a debt, and edit the date, note, tags or project of settlement entries, plus the amount and account of money lent or borrowed • Holdings: buy, sell and edit trades on one sheet, with trading fees, the receiving account and cross-currency amounts. Adding, editing or deleting an earlier trade recalculates the cost and gains of later sales, and selling a foreign-currency holding shows its FX portion separately • Recently Deleted: transactions you delete stay in Settings › Data › Recently Deleted for 30 days and come back together with anything deleted alongside them • Contact & Feedback in Settings: write to the developer (Report a Problem attaches a diagnostic report with no ledger content), or find Keel on Discord, X, TikTok, RED, WeChat and Douyin • Online Rates: switch any currency between Auto and Manual, one at a time or all at once • The icon picker now has 384 icons in 20 sections, with a section bar and search across all of them IMPROVED AND FIXED • Deleting an account that still has entries now clears its balance with a reconciliation adjustment and pauses recurring transactions that use it. Its status is now called Deleted, and an Inactive row at the foot of each Balance Sheet section makes the rows add up to the total • Account pickers follow the grouping and order of your Balance Sheet • Categories: dragging no longer drops a category inside another, duplicate names are flagged as you type, and categories with subcategories can be deleted • When a budget's scope no longer exists (a deleted category or statement dimension), Keel says why and takes you to the fix instead of showing a normal reading; anything a budget still uses can no longer be deleted • Card installment interest shows which plan and period it belongs to and can be found by the plan's name. Entries Keel creates for interest, fees and currency transfers are titled in your current language instead of leaving fixed text in the note • Refunds and reversals can no longer be changed through the regular edit form, and the amount of a refunded transaction is locked; a reversal made by mistake can be deleted. Reversed loan and Buy now, pay later repayments no longer count as payments • With iCloud sync, reversed annual fees and interest no longer disappear when Keel opens; in shared books, two members' devices no longer record the same recurring entry, interest or repayment twice • Holding details and investment analysis count only trades up to today • Books with Hungarian forint amounts could fail to open after a system update; fixed • The number pad can now calculate negative results in fields that allow them, such as a liability balance • After you change the language in Settings, every screen follows right away • The sample book is removed when you leave it; you can open a fresh one any time USING MORE THAN ONE DEVICE? If you use the same book on several devices, or a shared book, please update every device to 1.4.0. On older versions, the new They owe me / I owe them lines in a split show an amount of 0 and no account. Nothing crashes and reports stay correct, but those transactions can't be edited on that device.

NEW • Delete a transaction: from the ⋯ menu in a transaction's details, remove an entry you recorded by mistake or twice, as if it was never recorded. Reports, budgets and balances for its month update; its refunds go with it, and a recurring occurrence is marked as skipped. Transactions tied to a loan, an order or a statement tell you where to handle them instead FIXED • The totals at the top of the Balance Sheet no longer stay on last month's figure on the 1st; entries and balance corrections made that day count right away • When you have entries dated after today, account group totals, credit cards, Buy Now Pay Later, settlements, holdings and goal progress now count only up to today, matching the Balance Sheet • Resuming a goal and pushing its stages back no longer fails when a stage passed during the pause • The end date you pick on a recurring transaction no longer resets to today after you open one of its planned entries and come back • Going back from a drill-down, such as in Category Analysis, no longer brings the tab bar back on top of the screen

GOALS, NOW IN STAGES • This month: goals with a deadline now work out how much to set aside this month, and any shortfall rolls into the months ahead. The Overview card leads with what's left this month • Stages: add checkpoints between start and finish (say, 20,000 by year end) and get a verdict as each stage ends • Missed a stage? Choose what happens next: keep the plan, spread the gap over later stages, push everything back, lower the target, or pause • Past the deadline: extend it, keep going with no deadline, or Stop here. Reached it: archive, start the next period, or raise the target • See how far an entry moves your goals while you record it • Transfer Monthly… on a savings goal sets up the recurring transfer in one step • Optional Goal Reminders for a monthly shortfall, a stage ending, a goal paused for 90 days and a goal reached, all off by default GOAL GROUPS • Put goals that measure different things together: a new home = down payment + clearing a credit card + renovation fund • All at once: see how many are done, the latest deadline, and which goal is projected to finish last • One after another: work on one goal at a time and tap Start next when it's reached. The Mac version is a native rebuild: the balance sheet, entries, holdings and schedules are real Mac tables you can sort, multi-select, drag and rename in place; books, attachments, projects and the assistant each get their own window; press Control-Option-N to float a compact entry window over any app. APPLE WATCH • Record on your wrist: amount, category, account — three screens.
