What's new in Tasted 1.0.8 • One profile: your page now looks exactly like your friends' — passport, stats and tastings all in one place. • Share as an image: turn any dish you've tasted into a shareable card, rating included. • Clearer recipes: prep, cooking and resting times shown separately, plus a substitute when an ingredient is hard to find. • Collections: see at a glance the ones you've started and what's new this week. • Country, city and dish-family pages: new cards to explore what's left to taste. • Guest mode: create your account whenever you like — your tastings come with you. • Plus the usual fixes and a more stable app.

Sharing a dish is finally a moment of its own. And every Sunday, we have a date. A NEW COMPOSER, IN THREE STEPS Photo first: camera or camera roll, the screen is the choice. Then the crop — square, portrait or original, pinch to zoom, double-tap to reset. Then the details: the dish, your rating, what you thought of it, and where you ate it. YOUR POST NO LONGER KEEPS YOU WAITING It uploads in the background. The composer closes straight away, the card appears at the top of The Table with its real photo, and if the network drops, "Try again" is right there on the card — nothing to type twice. DISH MISSING FROM THE CATALOGUE? SUGGEST IT Type its name and post right away: the suggestion goes to moderation, and the dish joins everyone's FoodDex once it's accepted. A Contributor badge shows who helped the catalogue grow. THE SUNDAY DATE Every Sunday, four dishes you've never tasted: one to cook, three to try out. You pick one, you say which day, we'll remind you. And your streak grows — skipping a week doesn't break it. At your own pace: one discovery a week, or one a month. YOUR VISIT STREAK The days in a row you open Tasted, with the month's calendar, your best streak and the total. MODERATE YOUR OWN WALL Delete your comment — or any comment on your own post, because it's your wall. The menu is now a proper system sheet. A post can be deleted too, and you're told exactly what goes with it. WHO LIKED IT Tap the like counter: the list of people opens. LIGHTER, STEADIER The app is significantly smaller, the atlas and search read more clearly, and a handful of layout details have been fixed. Thanks for tasting with us.

A new Tasted, redesigned from the ground up. A NEW LOOK The whole app has been redrawn: a lighter ivory background, cards that breathe, bolder type. Every screen reads better — and your dishes finally take centre stage. EVERY DISH YOU SHARE NOW HAS ITS OWN PAGE Tap a post and you open a real page: the photo in full, where the dish comes from, its family, its ingredients — and the comments right below. THE BEST PLACES, PICKED ONE BY ONE No more voting. Every address is now hand-picked, and tells you why it's there: The origin (the dish was born here), The benchmark, The award winner, The institution, Worth the detour. Map and directions are one tap away. PROFILES THAT ACTUALLY SAY SOMETHING A grid of shared dishes, Dishes / Ranking / Collections tabs, a friend count, and a profile photo you can take on the spot. SEARCH THAT GETS TO THE POINT Your recent searches, and results sorted into dishes, cities, countries and categories. LEADERBOARDS THAT MAKE SENSE Your standing among friends and worldwide, how far ahead you are, and how many dishes you need to overtake the person above you. THE ATLAS AT THREE SCALES From afar, one token per city with its count. Zoom in and the specialities themselves appear. And "Around you" puts the closest ones first. YOUR FOODDEX MOVES FORWARD "36 discoveries" instead of a discouraging ratio, milestones to reach, and a one-tap way back into collections you've already started. MY TOP Add both dishes and drinks, and reorder them with a drag. Thanks for tasting with us.

Notifications are here. • When someone adds you as a friend — and when your request is accepted • When a friend shares a dish they've just tasted • When someone likes or comments on one of your tastings And you decide what reaches you. In Settings → Notifications, four separate switches: keep friend requests and turn off likes, or the other way round. What you turn off isn't just hidden — it's never sent. Also new: an optional evening reminder. Once a day at most, and never on a day you've already logged a dish. Cooking timers are unaffected: they're alarms, and they will always ring. Fixed: the app could close on launch.

Refer your friends: enter a friend's code when you sign up, or from "Add friend", and you'll find each other automatically. Friend suggestions, so you no longer have to search blind. "Complete your profile": five steps to bring your passport to life. My top: search, add and rank your favourite dishes on a single screen, with a marker on the ones you've already tasted. The app now opens straight on your FoodDex. Fixes: fields hidden behind the keyboard, misplaced placeholder text, and stability improvements.

An update that puts the world on an even better plate. • New home screen — collections to complete are now shown in an illustrated grid: a colour, a dish, and your progress at a glance. • Illustrated city pages — destinations finally get the same polished header as countries, with their own illustration and tagline. • Tasted now speaks English — dish names, families, and descriptions are now translated and follow the language chosen in settings. • Redesigned invitations — share your passport or invite a friend with a message that makes comparing your FoodDex genuinely appealing. • Fixes and polish throughout.
