AUTO WHITE BALANCE FOR EVERY PHOTO Auto white balance now works on JPEG, HEIC, PNG and RAW photos alike: Halumo measures the photo's neutral and corrects the cast in one step. When nothing in the frame could be neutral, it says so and leaves the photo as it was. AI edits are told the same measurement, so asking to fix the colour is sized to the photo. MORE ROOM FOR TEMP AND TINT On JPEG, HEIC and PNG photos, Temp and Tint reach five times further, for casts too strong to fix before. Near the centre they're as fine as ever. SHARE SEVERAL PHOTOS AT ONCE Send up to twenty photos from any app's share sheet. One opens ready to edit; several open together as a Shared set in your Library. NO MORE DUPLICATES A shared photo that's already in Photos opens as itself instead of being saved a second time, and a new one keeps the name it was shared under.

EASIER TO TAP Every chip on the editing shelf now takes a full-size tap, and the one you choose slides fully into view. A SIMPLER MIX Mix sits at the same height as Adjust. Hue, Saturation and Luminance move into a picker above the bands, and switching band keeps your choice, so grading saturation across greens and blues is one tap per band. A TOOLBAR THAT FITS THE PHONE Develop's toolbar is built around the room it has. Done and More are pinned, so on a small iPhone at the largest text sizes Done no longer folds away, and anything that does fold is named in the More menu rather than vanishing from the bar. ONE CONTROL FOR HISTORY Undo and Redo are a single control: tap it to take the step you have, press it to choose either direction or to open Versions and History. BEFORE STEPS ASIDE FOR AN EDIT Holding Before shows the untouched photograph, and it now releases the moment an edit, an undo or a step through History changes the picture — so a control can never be driven over a frame it is not changing. PAINT AT ANY STRENGTH The brush gains a Strength rail, so a stroke can lay down part of an edit rather than all of it. Show mask now tints by what the mask actually covers — softness, erase and a one-tap selection included — and a loupe magnifies the point under your finger while you paint. A LAYOUT MADE FOR iPad On iPad the tools stand in a column beside the photograph, in both orientations, with every context laid out to fill it: a ruler for each adjustment, a grid of presets, and all of Crop's framing instruments at once. The iPhone workspace has been rebuilt around a larger canvas and a compact dock. AUTO TONE, REBUILT It now measures the same frame its sliders act on, solves for exposure instead of estimating it, and no longer fogs a photograph that already has a real black. Vibrance is a true gain, and every built-in look has been re-authored onto it. LEAVE AN AI EDIT AND COME BACK Closing the AI card puts it away rather than abandoning the work: the request keeps running, your draft is kept, and Strength and Undo stay with the result they belong to. SELECT THE SKY IN ONE TAP Masks has a new Sky button. It selects the sky and gives you an ordinary mask — invert it, refine it, brush it, like any other. Share a picture from Safari, Files, Messages or anywhere else and it opens in Develop, without saving it to your library first. 19 NEW BUILT-IN LOOKS The preset library grows to 39: everyday looks, film stocks, cinematic grades, night scenes, portraits, landscapes, and black and white. FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS Deep skin tones hold their detail under the darker looks, and a saturated sky no longer flattens into a band of one colour.
