Sotto - Read Aloud
Listen to anything, offline
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Turn any document, book, or web page into a natural-sounding audiobook. Foreign pages translate to English first. All on-device — nothing ever uploads.
Sotto reads anything aloud in natural, human-sounding voices — and it all happens right on your iPhone. Nothing you import is ever uploaded to the cloud.
Bring in whatever you want to listen to:
Open PDFs, Word documents, EPUB books, or any other text files
Scan printed pages with your camera — Sotto reads the text off them
Paste from the clipboard — an email, an article, even a photo of text
Drop in a web link and Sotto strips out the clutter
Import something in another language and Sotto translates it to English first, on-device
Save it as an audiobook:
Pick a voice, tap Create Audiobook, and Sotto renders it once. Long documents are no problem — a single audiobook can run close to two hours. Your saved audiobooks live in one place and keep playing when your phone is locked, in your pocket, or as you drift off to sleep.
Built for listening:
Build playlists and let several audiobooks play back to back
Adjustable playback speed
A sleep timer, from 15 minutes up to 8 hours
Re-record any saved audiobook in a different voice
15 app themes, light and dark
Completely private:
Your documents and the audio Sotto creates never leave your iPhone — there are no accounts, no tracking, and nothing is uploaded, ever.
Sotto comes with one voice, free. A single one-time purchase unlocks all 13 other voices — natural US and UK English — with no subscription, ever.
Every voice runs on your device.
