Compare electricity and natural gas rates across Pennsylvania and switch to a cheaper energy supplier — GridScout PA does the shopping for you. It pulls rates straight from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission's official sites, PAPowerSwitch and PAGasSwitch, and instantly shows the lowest fixed-rate electric and gas supplier for your utility.
Pennsylvania has energy choice: your market is deregulated, so you can pick who supplies your electricity and gas — often at a lower rate than your utility's default "Price to Compare." But comparing dozens of electric and gas offers by hand is slow. GridScout PA compares energy rates for you in seconds and helps you save on your electric and gas bill.
WHAT YOU GET
- Your utility's current Price to Compare (PTC) — the benchmark every supplier offer is measured against
- The best fixed-rate electricity and gas offer for your utility, with the rate, term length, cancellation fee, and any monthly fee
- Filters for Best Value, No Fees, and contract length
- A one-tap "Sign up" link that opens the supplier's enrollment page for that exact offer
- A home-screen widget with your utility's latest rate
COMPARE ELECTRIC RATES FROM
PECO Energy, PPL Electric Utilities, Duquesne Light, Met-Ed, Penelec, Penn Power, and West Penn Power.
COMPARE NATURAL GAS RATES FROM
Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, PECO Gas, Peoples Natural Gas, UGI, National Fuel Gas, and Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW).
WHY FIXED RATES
GridScout PA shows fixed-rate plans only. Variable "teaser" rates can look cheap at first, then jump after a month or two — a fixed-rate electricity or gas plan locks in your price for the whole contract, with no surprises.
STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE
Every rate comes from the PUC's own Apples to Apples data — the same numbers you'd see shopping on PAPowerSwitch.com or PAGasSwitch.com — refreshed regularly so you're always comparing current offers.
Switching electricity or gas suppliers is free, doesn't interrupt your service, and your utility still delivers the energy and handles billing. GridScout PA just helps you find the cheapest energy supplier and enroll in a couple of taps.
Whether you want to lower your electric bill, cut your gas bill, or just see if a better rate is out there, GridScout PA makes energy shopping in Pennsylvania fast and simple.
GridScout PA is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, any utility, or any energy supplier. Rates are subject to change; always confirm the current price and terms with the supplier before enrolling.
