Do "seat" and "sit" sound the same to you? Many American English words differ by just one sound. Listen2Words uses minimal pairs to train your ear to hear these differences.
Start by listening. Each exercise plays one minimal pair in many different voices. Comparing voices helps you focus on the sound difference that stays consistent from speaker to speaker.
Then test yourself. Listen and choose the word you heard. If you miss a word, it can return in a later round of the same test, giving you another chance to reinforce the contrast.
To pass a word pair, get every first-round answer right in three tests in a row, averaging under half a second per answer.
