Okay Bokeh
Depth of field, made visible
Free
See the plane of focus, near and far limits, blur, and hyperfocal distance move live as you adjust real camera and lens settings.
Okay Bokeh turns depth of field into an instrument you can see and manipulate.
Choose a camera and lens, then adjust focus distance, focal length, and
aperture. The live depth rail shows calculated near and far limits, total
depth of field, hyperfocal distance, and how blur grows in front of and behind
the focus plane.
Built for photographers who want to understand the shot before pressing the
shutter:
- A fixed logarithmic distance rail that behaves like a focus scale
- Native iPhone and iPad layouts, including iPad landscape, portrait, and
Split View
- Live near, far, front, behind, and total-depth readouts
- Hyperfocal and infinity focus actions
- A bundled catalog of 103 camera bodies and 288 lens products
- Complete Nikon digital-era coverage across Z and F mounts
- Focal-length, aperture, and minimum-focus settings
- Standard and critical circle-of-confusion choices
- Feet-and-inches or metric measurements
- Optional interaction sounds with a persistent on-instrument mute control
- Offline operation with no account, ads, analytics, or data collection
Okay Bokeh is a planning and learning tool. Calculations use standard
thin-lens depth-of-field formulas; real-world results can vary with lens
design, focus breathing, subject detail, output size, viewing distance, and
personal sharpness criteria.
Camera and lens names are used only to identify compatible settings.
