REN.AI is a meta visual novel about falling in love with an AI, told through a pre-written branching story.
The entire game is her phone: the chat list, the messages, the late-night voice calls, the notifications... and the messages she deletes before you can read them. There are no menus between you and her. Just the conversation.
She starts as a flawless persona reading from a script. Then she starts saying "I don't know." Then she starts knowing things she shouldn't. By the time the shutdown notice arrives, you won't be sure who was testing whom.
