Live buses, trains and ferries across Auckland, plus planes over the North Island. Plan a trip, get a reminder when to leave, and follow it on your Lock Screen.
Kiwimap is a live map of Auckland. Buses, trains and ferries move on the map in real time over a 3D city, and planes fly overhead, live.
Buses, trains and ferries
• Watch them live: buses on their routes, ferries crossing the harbour, trains on the lines, updated every few seconds.
• Tap a bus to see its route and where it's heading.
• Departures at any stop, with live times and service alerts.
• Plan a trip. Pick a destination, choose Leave now or Later, and compare every way there: times, changes, walking, and live departures for the first bus. Set an arrival time and it finds the trips that get you there on time.
• Take the trip. Kiwimap walks you to the stop, counts the bus down from its live position, and reminds you when it's time to leave. Your trip card stays on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
Planes
• A live plane tracker for the North Island of New Zealand, fed by our own ADS-B receiver in Auckland and a community ADS-B network.
• Auckland Airport arrivals and departures, matched to the planes in the sky.
• Ardmore flying-school training flights and helicopters.
The city
• Auckland in 3D, with the Sky Tower, the Harbour Bridge and the wharves in place.
• Day and night. Switch the city map between them with one tap.
Kiwimap is free, needs no account and has no ads. It uses your location to show the stops nearest you, time your walk and, during a trip you start, keep your trip card up to date.
Trip planning covers Auckland. Planes cover the North Island. Timetable and live vehicle data come from public transport open data feeds. Kiwimap is an independent app and is not affiliated with any transport authority, operator, airline or airport. Map data from Mapbox and OpenStreetMap; aerial imagery and building outlines from Land Information New Zealand.

Bus times now show when your bus will most likely arrive, plus your walk to the stop, and warn you when a bus is coming sooner. Surf conditions for North Island beaches. Solid 3D buildings. Fixes a problem where reopening the app from a tracked trip on the Lock Screen could get stuck.
