View point clouds and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) on macOS, rendered fast with Metal. Rotate, pan, zoom, or fly through your data. Reads transforms.json camera poses. Graph-R Point is a macOS viewer for displaying and exploring point cloud data and 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS). Rendered with Apple's Metal, it lets you freely change your viewpoint with a mouse or trackpad to examine data captured by 3D scanning, LiDAR, photogrammetry, SfM, and more. It is a universal app that runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. ■ Key Features Display point cloud files (PLY / LAS) Display 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) files (PLY) Load camera pose files (transforms.json) and view / switch between captured camera positions Rotate, pan, zoom, and change the point of interest with a mouse or trackpad Walk-through (fly) mode to move through your data as if walking inside it Adjust point size and shape (round / square), background color, axis gizmo, and more Switch between perspective and orthographic projection Open multiple PLY / LAS files, each in its own window Reset the view, fit the data to the window, and jump to axis-aligned views (X / Y / Z) Display settings are saved automatically ■ Supported File Formats PLY (point cloud): Colored point clouds. Both ASCII and binary LAS (point cloud): Point clouds from laser scanners and similar sources. Supports LAS 1.0–1.4 PLY (3DGS): 3D Gaussian Splatting. Supports both full (higher-order SH) and lightweight variants transforms.json: Camera pose files created with COLMAP, nerfstudio, and other tools 3DGS PLY files and regular point cloud PLY files are automatically detected from their contents and displayed appropriately. No manual switching is required. ■ Intuitive Controls Left-drag to rotate, Command + drag to pan, scroll wheel or pinch to zoom. Double-click to set the clicked position on your data as the center of rotation. Trackpad gestures are fully supported, so exploring your data feels natural on a Mac. In Fly mode, you can move through your data using the keyboard and mouse — a convenient way to inspect scans of buildings and terrain. ■ Built-in Manual and Sample Data Choose Help > Manual to open the user manual inside the app at any time. From basic controls to a full list of keyboard shortcuts, help is always one click away. You can also choose Help > Save Sample Data... to copy the bundled 3DGS sample data, so you can try the viewer right after purchase. ■ Camera Pose File Support Load a transforms.json file exported from COLMAP or nerfstudio to switch to viewpoints that reproduce the position and orientation of the original cameras. This is useful for reviewing 3DGS results side by side with their training data.
