SnapLingua helps you learn from video courses on Mac. Select an on-screen region, press a shortcut, and turn slide or PPT text into a bilingual transcript—without pausing every sentence to copy and paste. HOW IT WORKS • Draw a capture region over the video or slide area • Press the shortcut to OCR text into the current session (OCR follows your source language) • Choose a source → target language pair (default English → Chinese; also Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and more) • Auto-translate on capture (optional), or translate cards one-by-one / all at once • Default translation uses Apple’s on-device Translation—no API key required • Optionally use your own DeepL or Zhipu AI API key (BYOK); Zhipu can merge OCR soft line breaks before translating ORGANIZE YOUR NOTES • Sessions per course, with search, edit, reorder, insert, and fold • Reuse the last capture region when creating a new session • Skip near-duplicate captures; flag overlapping content • Save words to a local vocabulary list while you read • Recently Deleted: restore sessions and captures for 30 days EXPORT • Free: timeline Markdown • Outline Markdown and Anki TSV (vocabulary + bilingual line pairs): 10 shared free trials, then Pro • Pro: unlimited outline & Anki exports SNAPLINGUA PRO • Unlimited sessions (free plan: up to 3) • Unlimited translations per session (free plan: up to 20 new translations per session) • Unlimited outline export & Anki export • iCloud sync across your Macs (optional, off by default) • Subscribe monthly or yearly, or unlock everything with a one-time lifetime purchase • Restore purchases anytime PRIVACY Screen capture and OCR run on your Mac.
