Improved compatibility with newer versions of iOS and fixed an issue that could cause the app to close immediately when opened. This update also improves overall launch reliability and stability.

Improved family account support and student profile switching. Student names now display correctly, with parent or guardian details available when selected. Updated belt-level content access. Removed the obsolete Testing Exempt setting. General compatibility and reliability improvements between the app and chgj.org.

Your belt now reads the way the dojo does. If you have earned an advanced rank the app says so — Advanced Yellow, Advanced Orange, Advanced Green, Advanced Purple or Advanced Blue — and the badge carries the stripe down the middle of the belt, the same as on the website. Brown belts go by their proper names: Brown Sankyu, Brown Nikyu and Brown Ikkyu, with Nikyu's red stripe and Ikkyu's black one. Your rank is whatever your instructor has set on chgj.org, so it changes in the app as soon as they change it there. If an instructor has opened higher videos to you, that works exactly as it did before: it widens what you can watch without changing the belt you are shown at.

Meet the family tree. Under Dojo, then History, the new Black Belt Lineage page lists every Chow-Hoon Goshin Jitsu black belt, starting with the original founders and advisors and continuing through every dojo, grouped by region, with each person's rank. Show them all, or pick a single dojo from the menu (Porter Youth Center, Post 41 and the rest), and search by name to find someone fast. Also in this release: small fixes and polish throughout.

Here's the What's New text for 1.0.7: Family accounts are here. Parents can now manage their children's training from one account. Sign in with your own account and choose whose profile to open. Each child sees their own belt, videos and classes. Switch between children anytime from the bar at the top. Add a child from My Family under More. An instructor approves each new profile. When your child is ready, hand their profile over so they can sign in on their own. Parents who don't train see the calendar and dojo history. Bug fixes and improvements.

Instructors get the full set of tools in the app: make folders, rename and reorder pictures, set a folder's cover picture, accept or decline what comes in, and create a named upload link to text to a parent who has no account. Class times are corrected: Wednesday and Friday, regular class 5:45 to 6:45 PM and advanced class 7:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Monterey Sports Center. Pictures can be talked about. Tap any photo in the gallery to open it on its own page, leave a comment with emoji, reply to somebody else's, and react with a tap. Delete your own comments any time; instructors can remove any of them. Also in this release: Face ID is a simple on/off switch under More, then Profile; you can close your account from the same screen; Contact CHGJ and Sign Out now sit with the rest of your profile; and Admin Tools and push notifications have been tidied up for instructors.

Can't make it to class? Tap Can't Make It on your dashboard, choose the date and reason, and your instructors are notified right away. Push notifications: class and event reminders the evening before, dojo announcements, and news from the dojo on your phone. Turn each type on or off under More. New in the Dojo section: the Four Corner Post. For dojo staff: manage member accounts directly from the app (roles, dojo location, approvals, unlocking, password resets), a new Absences view, and website stats that match the members site. Fixed video playback and various layout improvements.
