Softspoken: Voice Journal
The private voice journal
Free · In‑App Purchases
Say what's on your mind. Softspoken transcribes it, remembers it and gathers your week — entirely on your device. Buy once or go monthly — the first week is free.
Journal without writing a word.
Softspoken is a journal that listens. Tap once and speak — on iPhone, on iPad, or with Apple Watch on your wrist. Softspoken transcribes it, distils every entry, and shows you over the weeks what's really on your mind. Everything happens on your device. No account, no cloud.
Summaries, follow-up questions and the weekly review use Apple Intelligence and need iPhone 15 Pro or later, or an iPad with an M-series chip or A17 Pro. Recording, transcription, guided sessions, chapters, patterns, search and export work on every device running iOS 26.
JUST TALK
• No blank page, no streaks, no guilt.
• Live transcription runs entirely on device — Airplane Mode included.
• Fix any word with a single tap.
• Record with Apple Watch while your iPhone stays in your pocket.
• Start instantly from the Action button or Control Center.
EVERY ENTRY, DISTILLED
• A single line sums up what it was about.
• Now and then, a quiet follow-up question that helps you think further — answer it right there.
• People and topics are picked up, so you can find what you said later.
GUIDED SESSIONS
A calm voice asks you a few questions: in the evening, in the morning, before a decision, out of gratitude, or for a deep dive. You simply answer out loud.
HEAR YOUR WEEK
Every week becomes a chapter: your most important sentences as a page to read, a PDF to keep, and a short montage in your own voice.
PATTERNS, NOT VERDICTS
Mood over time, rhythm, recurring topics and people — counted, not interpreted. If you like, sleep and workouts from Apple Health sit alongside. Read-only, on device only.
YOUR THOUGHTS STAY WITH YOU
• No network connection, no server, no account.
• No analytics, no ads, no third-party code.
• Lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
• Full export, any time — text and recordings.
• You decide whether recordings are kept, deleted right away, or removed after 30 days.
SHARE IF YOU WANT TO
Design a card for an entry or your week — just the mood, an essence, or one sentence in your own words. You always see what will be shared first.
TWO WAYS, ONE JOURNAL
• Lifetime: €19.99 once — then Softspoken is yours, with every version 1 update.
• Monthly: €1.99 a month, first week free, cancel anytime.
Both unlock the same features.
About the monthly plan: the free week is for new subscribers. After it, the monthly price is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings, or in the app under Settings → "manage subscription". Prices include VAT.
The app speaks English and German.
