2D FFS LCD Simulator is a macOS design and analysis tool for FFS LCD pixels. It simulates and visualizes electric potential, liquid-crystal director response, transmittance, capacitance, and viewing-angle characteristics.
Users can define pixel geometry, electrode structure, gaps, liquid-crystal layer, insulator, and glass conditions, then examine how the director field and optical response change under applied voltage. Nonuniform mesh preview, potential contours, director visualization, time-response plots, and viewing-angle maps help connect pixel design with display performance.
The app supports 1-domain and 2-domain configurations, Accurate and Fast calculation modes, real-time capacitance and transmittance plotting, grid preview, and color, monochrome, and contour display modes.
It is suitable for research, education, early-stage design studies, and comparative evaluation of FFS LCD pixel structures.
