MusicVault MP3 Tag Editor is a fast, native Mac app for cleaning up the tags on your MP3 collection — fix typos, fill in missing titles and artists, tidy up albums, and add proper cover art, all without touching a spreadsheet or the Terminal.
IMPORT YOUR MUSIC
Drag a folder in, or use Add Files/Add Folder, and every track shows up in a sortable table with a thumbnail of its artwork, a modified-track indicator, and columns for Title, Artist, Album, Track and Year.
EDIT EVERY TAG THAT MATTERS
The Inspector gives you every field you'd expect from a proper tag editor — Title, Artist, Album, Album Artist, Genre, Year, Track/Disc numbers and totals, Composer, Conductor, Grouping, Comment, Copyright, Publisher, BPM, Key, ISRC, sort fields, and full lyrics — plus artwork. Prefer working straight in the table? Turn on direct table editing and every column becomes an editable field.
Right-click any track for a dedicated Edit popup with Previous/Next buttons, so you can work your way through an entire album's tags without closing and reopening anything.
BATCH EDIT WHOLE ALBUMS AT ONCE
Select any group of tracks and batch find-and-replace text, fix inconsistent capitalization, trim stray whitespace, add text before or after a field, clear fields outright, copy values from the first selected track across the rest, or apply one piece of artwork to the whole selection — with a live before-and-after preview before anything is applied.
ARTWORK, YOUR WAY
Drag an image straight onto a track, paste it from the clipboard, or pick a file — then view it full size, replace it, or remove it. Auto Number keeps track numbers in order, and Rename Files / Extract Tags from Filename move data between your filenames and your tags in either direction.
FIND WHAT NEEDS FIXING
Smart sidebar sections surface exactly what needs attention — Missing Metadata, Missing Artwork, Recently Added, and Duplicate Candidates (with a side-by-side comparison and the option to reveal a duplicate in Finder or move it to the Trash). Search and filter by title, artist, album or filename to zero in on anything in a large library.
OPTIONAL ONLINE LOOKUP
Can't remember an album's exact tracklist or find its cover art? Look it up against MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive — entirely opt-in, only ever runs when you ask it to, and you can turn either service off independently in Settings.
BUILT TO BE SAFE
Every edit lives in the app until you choose to save it — Undo and Revert are there the whole way, and nothing is written back to your files until you say so. There's no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics: your music and your tags never leave your Mac unless you explicitly run an online lookup.
