Most family tree apps assume a tidy family. Stemma Board doesn't.
A second marriage. A half-sibling from another father. A partner nobody remembers the name of, adoptions and foster children. The board makes room for all of it. Every couple sits directly above their own children, additional partners step away diagonally so nothing collides, and the layout holds its shape no matter how tangled the family gets.

A BOARD WITH USEFUL INFORMATION
Pinned polaroids joined by red cord, with a diamond at every union: rings for a marriage, a cross for a divorce. Add notes, birth, death, marriage, partnership places and additional photos to every person.
WHAT GOES ON A CARD
- A portrait, automatically framed on the face
- Name and last known occupation
- Birth and death dates as much as you actually know: 12.12.1901, 12.1901, or just 1901
- A flag that passes down the bloodline and splits diagonally where two lines meet
- Import your own flag images for countries that no longer exist or changed during history
YOURS, PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
No account. No subscription. Nothing uploaded. Each tree is a completely private single file on your Mac or iPad. Back it up, move it, hand it to a relative. Photos live inside the file.
EXPORT
PNG and PDF for printing and sharing. GEDCOM to carry your work into other genealogy software.
Includes a sample board: Queen Victoria's descendants, multiple generations across nine countries, so you can watch a large, messy family behave before building your own.
