JSON VP is a JSON viewer and formatter with validation, minification, repair, and a navigable structure tree. Imported or pasted JSON is processed locally; JSON VP does not provide online processing or cloud storage.
Features
• Format and minify: Turn JSON into readable indented output or compact text.
• Syntax validation: Check JSON syntax, identify the issue location, and jump to the affected code.
• Syntax highlighting and line numbers: Compare JSON and processed output side by side, search text, and use keyboard shortcuts.
• Common repairs: Handle comments, single quotes, unquoted keys, True, False, and None values, trailing commas, missing commas between object properties, and unclosed strings, objects, or arrays.
• Preview before applying: Review completion and repair summaries before replacing the source.
• Code and tree views: Expand or collapse objects and arrays, then copy a key, value, or JSONPath.
• Local file workflow: Open JSON or plain-text files, save JSON, and import content through drag and drop or the clipboard.
• Large-file safeguards: Memory-intensive features such as repair and the structure tree are limited for larger documents.
Workspaces and Pro
The standard version supports one JSON workspace with formatting, validation, repair, file access, and the structure tree. An optional Pro purchase supports multiple JSON workspaces in one window.
