CleanSlate creates smaller, share-ready images while removing embedded information such as GPS coordinates, camera details, timestamps, EXIF, IPTC, XMP, comments, and maker metadata.
Everything happens directly on your Mac. Your images are not uploaded to a server, and no account is required.
COMPRESS IMAGES
Choose the JPEG quality that balances visual detail and file size. CleanSlate shows the original and compressed sizes together, including the percentage saved.
PROCESS AN ENTIRE BATCH
Add one image or select many. Every file is processed using the same compression, resizing, format, and privacy settings.
REMOVE PRIVATE METADATA
CleanSlate rebuilds each output from decoded pixels instead of copying the original file’s metadata. Inspect the detected metadata list and see how many embedded metadata bytes were removed.
RESIZE WHILE COMPRESSING
Optionally limit the longest image edge to 1,200, 1,600, 2,400, or 3,840 pixels. This is useful for websites, email attachments, documents, portfolios, and social media uploads.

SUPPORTED INPUTS

PNG uses lossless compression, so PNG output may not always be smaller. For substantial size reduction, choose JPEG and adjust the quality setting.
