Set Your Defense Assign all nine fielding positions for each team, before or during the game. Tap any player on the field to substitute, swap positions, or clear a spot — and your play-by-play now names who made the play ("Ground ball to Shortstop Player01"). Name plates show jersey numbers and positions right on the diamond. Deeper Stats An always-on glossary means every abbreviation is right there while you read the box score. Pitching now tracks batters faced, WHIP, opponent average, wild pitches, stolen bases and caught stealing allowed, and full pitch counts (balls, strikes, and total pitches). A Livelier Scoreboard Balls, strikes, outs, innings, scores, and the line score roll over with a smooth animation as the game moves. Drag a runner to steal a base and the play stays put right where you dropped them while you make the safe-or-out call. New quick Out and Foul Ball buttons, and every pitch call is now available from the Pitch menu too. Cleaner Play-by-Play Home runs read the way you'd say them — "hits a line drive home run to left field."
