Tempo: RSVP Speed Reader
EPUB, Web & Text: Read Faster
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Turn EPUBs, web articles and pasted text into focused, distraction-free reading—at your pace, with progress saved automatically.
Read more of what matters—without your eyes chasing lines across a page.
Tempo is a focused speed reader for EPUB books, web articles and pasted text. Its RSVP reading experience displays one word at a time, with a coloured focal letter that keeps every word anchored to the same visual point.
BRING YOUR OWN READING
• Import EPUB ebooks with their cover, author and reading chapters
• Paste a public web URL and leave distracting page clutter behind
• Add essays, newsletters, notes, drafts or any plain text
• Keep everything together in your personal reading library
READ AT YOUR TEMPO
Choose a comfortable pace or build towards something faster. Tempo supports reading speeds from 100 to 1,000 words per minute, with simple controls that remain close at hand.
• Adjust WPM while reading
• Tap anywhere to pause instantly
• Jump forwards or backwards by words or chapters
• Get natural breathing room after commas and sentence endings
• Choose whether to continue when you finish a chapter
NEVER LOSE YOUR PLACE
Tempo automatically remembers your book, chapter and exact reading position. Open your library and tap Continue Reading to return to the word where you stopped.
Chapter-level progress, remaining reading time and a clean chapter explorer make even long books feel manageable.
MAKE THE READER YOURS
Create a reading environment that helps you focus:
• Select your preferred font and text size
• Choose a focal-letter colour
• Switch between light, parchment and low-glare night themes
• Enable or hide optical focus guides
• Read comfortably on iPhone or iPad
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your imported library and reading progress stay on your device. No account is required. Once content has been imported, it remains available whenever you want to read—even offline.
Whether you have ten spare minutes or an entire evening, Tempo helps turn that time into meaningful reading momentum.
