Backwords is a brand-new voice game: say the given word backwards, record it, and see how close your reversed voice gets to the real thing.
HOW TO PLAY (3 steps)
1. Say the word (e.g. "cat") out loud, normally, and record it
2. Hear it played in reverse — that strange sound is your target
3. Copy that sound and record again. Flip it back, and your voice becomes "cat"
REAL VOICE SCORING
No speech recognition — your actual voice is analyzed across Overall, Vowel, Consonant, Rhythm, Pitch and Clarity, shown on a radar chart. The more you practise, the higher you climb.
SOLO OR TOGETHER
A daily word, free mode (use any word or song lyric you like), random play, a word collection to complete, pass-and-play battles, a reverse-guessing quiz, and online matches — a Friend Battle with a room code, or a one-tap Rate Match that finds you an opponent instantly.
SHARE IT
Every result becomes a 9:16 vertical video with the broken take and the restored take back to back, so whoever watches hears the flip for themselves.
FRIENDLY & PRIVATE
Free to play, no accounts, no in-app purchases. Your voice is processed entirely on your device and never leaves your phone — online matches exchange only names and scores. You can watch an optional rewarded video ad to earn extra coins; playing never requires it. An ad may occasionally appear after a results screen, never in the middle of a round. Everything except online matches and ads works in airplane mode.
How close to the real word can you get?

- Removed the old level system — a player icon (shape + color) now shows next to your name instead
- Added a dedicated screen to change your name and icon together
- Word difficulty now unlocks based on total play count instead of level

- Refined the tap feedback on buttons and cards throughout the app
- You can now watch an optional rewarded video ad from the coin display to earn extra coins — playing never requires it
- Added new character skins you unlock by watching ads (1, 3, or 5 views)
- Character skins now actually change the mascot's look, not just a preview swatch
- An ad may now occasionally appear after a results screen — never in the middle of a round. You'll also see a one-time tracking permission prompt; declining it keeps everything free and fully playable
