own topics, with every entry linked back to the page it came from to easily go back to the PDF you cited.

Highlight passages and drop bookmarks with notes across an entire folder of
papers. Tag each one with your own topics as you read — or tag them later, in
batches, once the shape of the argument is clear.
ORGANIZE BY IDEA, NOT BY FILE
Name the topics you are reading for and group them the way your argument is
actually structured. A single passage can carry more than one topic, because
good evidence usually does.
THE OUTLINE IS THE POINT
Research Linker builds one outline under your group headings. Every entry
carries the quoted passage, your note, and a citation that links straight back
to the source page. Click it and the document opens there — so checking a
quote is one click, not a hunt through forty files.
Keep reading and add the new marks later. New entries drop into the right
sections and anything you wrote yourself is left alone.
SEARCH EVERY PAPER AT ONCE
Search a folder and every match is listed with how many times the word appears
in it, so you know which paper to open first. Whole words keeps a short word
from drowning in near-misses.
A SCAN BECOMES A DOCUMENT
Older material is often a scan with no text in it at all. Choose Recognize
Text and the words are written INTO the PDF, so you can search it, highlight
it, and quote it — and so can anyone you send it to.
