More than a family tree. A living family archive.
Nasab helps you preserve your family's photos, voice memories, and stories, tied to the real people and relationships who lived them. Build your family tree, capture grandparents' stories before they're gone, and give your family's history a home that will last for generations.
WHY NASAB
Most family tree apps stop at names and dates. Most photo apps have no sense of family. Nasab connects both: every photo, video, and voice memory is tagged to a real person on your family tree and placed on a timeline, so your family's history stays organized, searchable, and meaningful.
BUILD YOUR FAMILY TREE
• Add parents, children, spouses, and siblings across unlimited generations
• Explore your tree in multiple layouts: Vertical, Horizontal, and Radial
• Optional patronymic naming for accurate family name display
• Elder Spotlight and gentle nudges help you fill in missing family branches
• Export your tree as a printable PDF poster, or a GEDCOM file for other family tree tools
PRESERVE REAL MEMORIES
• Post photos, videos, and voice recordings as memories tied to real family members
• Record voice stories and oral history from grandparents and elders
• Organize memories into custom albums with cover photos and colors
• Like, comment, and tag family members to relive moments together
• Share a single memory through a private, time limited link, without opening up your whole archive
AN AUTOMATIC FAMILY TIMELINE
• Births, marriages, and deaths automatically build your family's timeline
• Add locations to births, marriages, and other events to capture where your story took place
• Show dates in the Hijri calendar (Umm al-Qura or Misri) alongside Gregorian, with Hijri-aware birthday and anniversary reminders
• Browse your family's story chronologically, generation by generation
FAMILY INSIGHTS AT A GLANCE
See your family's generation count, living and past members, marriages, and more, right from your Home screen.
BUILT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
• Invite relatives with a simple shareable link or QR code
• New members claim their profile the moment they join
• Everyone can help add members and keep the tree up to date, or restrict editing to trusted Editors with Heritage
• Get notified when someone adds a memory, comments, or likes a moment
• Reminders for upcoming birthdays and anniversaries
• Shared family storage, so everyone contributes to one archive
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your family's photos, videos, and stories are visible only to invited members
• Access is protected at the database level: no public links, no strangers
• You decide who can see what, and who can join
