Record arrival and departure times, browse each day’s logs, and keep readings, observations and specimens together. Just taking a quick reading? Use Quick Logs without creating a journal, then organize them later if you choose. SPEAK YOUR OBSERVATIONS Start a voice memo with one tap. Keep the recording and transcribed text so you can revisit what you noticed at the outcrop. Prefer typing? Save a written memo instead. REMEMBER EVERY SPECIMEN Record rocks, minerals and other field samples with multiple photos, notes and location details. Each specimen gets a record ID, whether you collect it or leave it in place. A sample bag is optional. CONNECT YOUR WORK TO THE MAP Create field stations for observation sites and link their measurements, memos and specimens. Revisit a station to see what you recorded there. YOUR RECORDS, UNDER YOUR CONTROL Your field records are stored on your device. Capture and browse saved records offline; loading map imagery requires an internet connection. Export measurements and specimens as CSV, or back up journals with their photos and voice recordings to Files. Optional reminders help you remember to make a fresh backup. No account or subscription required. All current features are free. IMPORTANT Phone sensor readings can be affected by magnetic interference, device placement and calibration. Confirm critical measurements with appropriate field instruments and professional judgment. Back up important records—deleting the app also removes its local data.

Keep a trip or project together in a Field Journal, or use Quick Logs when you just want to capture something quickly. Record when your field day starts and ends, then revisit everything you logged that day.
