Details, in one place. Notes, collections and where a recipe came from now sit together on its page, with the original link a tap away. Open a recipe and tap Add Details. Also in this update: • Imported recipes keep their source. The website, or the book and page, now sits under Details instead of in your notes. • Sharing a post from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or X? If the recipe is written in the caption or description, it can come in too. Recipes that are only in the video itself aren’t brought in, as that isn’t reliable enough yet. • Added a dinner after sending your shop? The card now counts only that dinner’s ingredients as new. • Weeknight is now the first suggestion when you make a collection. • Small fixes and polish. Thanks for cooking.

Your shop remembers. Untick what you’ve already got and it stays that way. Add a dinner later and the week’s card shows what’s new, so nothing goes to Reminders twice. Your choices follow you between your iPhone and iPad. Always in the cupboard? Touch and hold an ingredient and choose Always Leave Off. Now for 2 nights. If a new dinner uses something you’ve already added, it comes back so you can add the extra. Also new. Salt and black pepper are separate on your list. ½× and 2× now change amounts in the middle of an ingredient line too. Cleared a week by mistake? Paste it straight back. Ask Siri what’s for tea. A new camera for recipe pages. Snap a Recipe Page now opens its own camera, with a level guide that turns green when the phone is straight, flash when you want it, and the volume button as a shutter. Once it’s taken, a line traces round the page as it’s read. If a photo can’t be read, you can retake it straight away. When it’s planned. Every recipe shows when it’s on next: Tonight, Tomorrow or a day of the week, or when you last had it. Ingredients are a size bigger, with the amounts in bold. Two new tips. Touch and hold an ingredient or step to change or copy it. Touch and hold a day to swap it or pin it in place. Quicker Recipes. Big collections open much faster. Small touches. “Dine Out” is now “Eat Out”, What’s New cards are easier to read, ⌘1, ⌘2 and ⌘3 switch tabs on iPad and Mac, [and the iPhone Duo layout is roomier when open sideways,] plus a few small fixes. Duplicate a recipe, then decide. Duplicate now opens the copy for editing first. Keep it, or close it and nothing’s left behind. Made for iPhone Duo. Open it up and pages sit either side of the fold, so nothing lands on the crease: your week on one side and your recipes on the other, with bigger photo grids. Half-fold it and the buttons and cards move to one half. On the front screen, plan sideways with your recipes beside the week. iPad. Me now has two columns when you hold it sideways. Small touches. Duplicate a recipe Make your own version without starting from scratch: a veggie bolognese, a milder curry for the kids. It’s in the recipe menu, under Edit Recipe. Amounts at a glance On a recipe page, each ingredient’s amount now stands out. Smoother editing Ingredients slide into place when you move them, there’s a little more room between lines and steps, and your recipe stays put if you pop out to copy something. Your dinners, over time Your weekly plans now build a picture of your dinner routine. After four planned weeks, your most-planned recipes appear at the top of Me. Tap one to open it. Dates on your week Each night now shows its date — handy for working out what to freeze when the shopping arrives. Group your ingredients Split your ingredient list into sections like “For the sauce” or “For the marinade”. Each group gets its own card on the recipe, and the headings stay off your shopping list. Imported recipes keep their groups too, from cookbook photos and from recipe sites. A new toolbar above the keyboard Editing a recipe is a little easier, with undo, redo and clear within reach. Move ingredients up or down, add a group heading or add a photo without leaving the keyboard. Edited recipes now give a little bounce in the Recipes grid so you can spot what you’ve just changed.
