Done - AI handles your To-Do
Tasks Claude finishes for you
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Done is a calm to-do app for people who'd rather finish things than manage a list.
CAPTURE FAST
Type a task the way you'd say it - "pay rent friday", "email the landlord tomorrow" - and Done files it with the right date and priority.
HAND OFF THE BORING ONES
Assign a task to an AI agent and it does the work, then comes back for your approval. Nothing is ever marked done behind your back.
STAY ORIENTED
Group by project, plan your week, see what's overdue, and get a daily digest of what actually needs you.
BUILT FOR KEYBOARD-FIRST PEOPLE
A command palette, shortcuts for everything, and a UI that stays out of the way.
YOUR TASKS ARE YOURS
Every account is isolated, and Done never sells your data.

New in 2.0.7:
• Briefing: one page to start your day from.
• The Up Next widget shows what your agents need from you. On iPhone, edit it to pick what it shows.
• Today's progress at a glance in the banner.
• An agent's question shows right in the task, and closes when the task does.
• Agents can't start or finish work on a task that's waiting on you.
• Smarter quick capture: "last friday", "in N days" and "~" estimates read correctly.
• A much smaller, faster download.
2.0.7 1d ago
Clearer steps to connect ChatGPT or Claude, and a new step with things to say to your AI once it's connected: add a task, paste in a whole list, or work your board highest priority first. The sign-in screen now marks the method you last used on this device. See what each agent is holding (open, in progress and waiting on you) on every agent in Settings > Agent access. A new switch for tips and reminder emails in Settings > Notifications. Plus fixes and polish.
2.0.6 Oct 15
Done 2.0: a whole new look, and more ways to see your work.
• Redesigned from top to bottom, with new colors, type, a new logo and app icon, and a clearer layout on iPhone and iPad.
• Needs you gathers everything waiting on your approval in one place.
• New Gantt layout: give a task a start date and see your work on a timeline.
• Board: choose which columns to show, and add a task in any column.
• Calendar: a redrawn week you can page through, with busy blocks named after your meetings.
• Goals: a list that shows pace and the next step, and a page for each goal.
• Agents: pick a well-known agent when you add one, and connect it in the same step.
• Paste a list from Notes, Reminders or anywhere else and turn it into tasks in one go.
• Quick add understands dates and priorities typed in Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
• The app now speaks German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
• Fixes for the top of the screen on iPhones with Reduce Transparency turned on, and for small screens and offline use.
2.0.4 Oct 13
Agents get their own lanes, and your calendar gets closer to your tasks.
• Hand each task to a specific agent, and group your list by agent to see who has what.
• Routines can name an agent, so recurring work lands straight in that agent's queue.
• Name an agent when you connect it and it's ready to use, with its own logo.
• Drag a task onto another to make it a subtask, and drag it back out again.
• See the meeting a task is for, and link one yourself.
• Plan my day now names your meetings, even on a day with nothing scheduled.
• Sync now button for Google Calendar, and connecting and disconnecting is more reliable.
• Fixes to quick-capture estimates, time zones on the calendar, and the avatar initial.
1.5.0 Oct 12
Sign in with a passkey. Add one in Settings → Security, then sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode instead of typing a password. A passkey also stands in for your two-factor code, and passkeys you've saved for trydone.app in Safari work in the app too.
1.4.4 Sep 28
Fixes Done closing immediately when you open it on iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. If Done crashed on launch after updating, this update fixes it.
1.4.3 Sep 26
• Name your connected apps. Two Claude connections no longer look identical: rename one "Claude Personal" and the activity it writes on your tasks carries that name. Each app also shows when it was last active.
• Answer an agent's question by typing, not just by picking an option. Answered questions now say so until the agent picks the task back up.
• On a shared board, activity names the teammate or agent who actually made each change.
• Google and Microsoft sign-in now ask for your 2FA code, and accounts that signed up that way can set a password.
• Fixed a blank band that could appear at the bottom of the app after scrolling.
• Connecting a Google or Microsoft sign-in, or an app like Nightjar, is now tied to the device that started it, and the app shows the result right away.
1.4.2 Sep 24
Done now speaks Spanish — the whole app, plus the website, blog, docs and email.
Files: an agent can hand back a real file, and you can attach one yourself. Open a PDF right inside the task, replace it, or remove it. Your storage use is shown against the caps in Account.
Workspaces: move a project to another workspace, filter the board to one workspace, and point an agent's queue at a single board. Tags now work on every board, not just your personal one.
Pause: stop one task, or stop the whole board. An agent can pause itself; only you can start it again.
Runner boxes: see the machines working your queue and tell when one has gone quiet.
Also: you can now delete a task straight from the task screen on your phone, links in a task description open when you tap them, opening a task on your phone no longer pops the keyboard up, account settings use the whole screen, and a missing page is now a proper page instead of a dead end.
Accessibility and polish: the date field's clear button is now its own control, pausing or resuming the board announces what happened and keeps your place, the quick-capture sheet announces itself when Android's share sheet opens it, and the PDF preview renders where it used to fail.
1.4.1 Sep 15
Add tasks by voice, and sign in without a password.
• "Hey Siri, add a task to Done." Say it and it's captured — no unlocking, no app switch. "Capture in Done" opens straight into the quick-add field for when the thought still needs typing. Nothing to set up; the phrases work as soon as you install.
• Sign in without a password. Ask for a sign-in link by email and tap it. Your password still works if you'd rather use that.
• Fixed: the referral link copied from inside the app pointed somewhere that resolved for nobody. It now gives a real trydone.app link — so if you shared one from the last version and your friend saw nothing, that was why. Worth grabbing it again.
• A security update to the web framework underneath, and a faster first load.
1.3.2 Sep 5
Invite friends, get Pro — and send things to Done from anywhere.
• Invite three friends who sign up and finish a task, and you get three months of Pro. It keeps going — six friends is six months. Your link is in Account › Plan & billing.
• Share to Done. Send a link or selected text from Safari, Mail, or any other app straight to your board without opening Done first.
• Read what your agent wrote, in the task itself. A draft, a summary, a generated page or a PDF now renders right next to the approve button, so signing off doesn't mean opening something else first.
• A task you're waiting on stays off your calendar. Marking it "Waiting on someone else" now takes it out of Today, Plan my day and the Week view together, until its resurface date brings it back.
• A short guided tour for new accounts that points at the real interface instead of describing it.
• VoiceOver fix: search results are now announced as they appear, instead of being described as still loading.
1.3.1 Sep 4
Share a board, and close the day.
• Workspaces get a real screen — invite people, see who is a member, and file a project into a shared workspace instead of your personal one.
• Say five things at once — put a pile of thoughts into one box, by keyboard or by dictation, and Done splits it into separate tasks for you to keep, edit, or drop. Say “p1 by Friday” and it lands urgent and dated.
• Close the day — what shipped and who closed it, what rolls over, how many decisions are still waiting on you, and one line for what today was like.
• The agent roster — see which agents are connected, what they are holding, and take a stuck task back. A new pane shows exactly what an agent sees on a task.
• Describe a view in a sentence — “overdue things in Marketing, grouped by project” — instead of composing it by hand.
• Plan my day re-reads your calendar while it is open: when a meeting moves it re-plans and tells you what changed.
• Search now covers the activity feed too, so you can find the comment, not just the task it was on.
• Fixes: a readable task modal on phones, light mode as the default with dark a click away, and fixes from a security pass.
1.2.0 Sep 2
A new look, and a calmer board.
• Redesigned throughout — the board, the Control Room, and every mobile screen.
• Capture inbox: agent-proposed tasks land in one place to triage, not straight onto your board.
• Grooming proposals: your agent finds work that quietly died and proposes what to do with it, in one batch.
• Quick capture shortcuts: type @tag, when:, at 3pm or p1 straight into the field.
• Every sub-page of the board is now linkable.
• Fixes: bigger tap targets, a readable task modal on phones, a header that no longer clips.
1.1.0 Aug 30
New screenshots, and the app's AI features are now described as "AI agents" throughout. Under the hood: a calmer agents view with clearer working, needs-review and plan-to-review states.
1.0.1 Aug 25
