Idea Compass is a place to capture ideas the moment they happen — by voice or by typing — without breaking stride to tag or file anything. Every entry becomes a Moment: a timestamp, a place, and a note on what you were doing when the thought struck. Actions you later take on an idea get logged the same way, so each idea slowly grows its own timeline instead of disappearing into a pile of notes. Idea Compass itself stays narrative and status-free: no due dates, no "done" states ON THE AI The AI runs on-device by default using Apple Intelligence — free, private, nothing leaves your phone. You can also point it at the Claude API with your own key for heavier, whole-journal features, or run a hybrid of the two — your choice, in Settings. Either way, every AI suggestion is something you confirm rather than something applied automatically.
