Explore live NOAA MRMS radar, then look ahead with the NOAA HRRR model. Everyone gets about an hour of futurecast; Premium extends it to six hours. Observations and model projections are clearly labelled, with a solid observed timeline, dashed forecast timeline and NOW divider. Replay recent radar, scrub to a specific time or pause on the newest scan.

Track active systems from official National Hurricane Center advisories. See forecast cones, tracks, positions, wind fields and coastal watches and warnings. Step through the forecast, check a storm's distance from your selected city and read NHC hazard statements. Play GOES satellite loops in GeoColor or infrared. Hurricane tracking and its satellite loops are free for everyone.

Check current conditions, hourly forecasts and a seven-day outlook. See what happens next with rain timing and plain-English weather insights. Current conditions identify their NWS station or forecast source. Forecast times follow the city you're viewing. Add EPA AirNow air quality, UV index, sunrise and sunset to the picture.
KEEP THE PLACES THAT MATTER CLOSE
Search across the United States, save favorite places and use optional location access for nearby weather. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets bring cached weather into view. Ask Siri "Will it rain?" for an answer without opening the app. Previously loaded forecasts remain available offline, with their age shown.

Enjoy a consistent dark interface that adapts to the space available. Wider windows place radar controls beside the map; compact windows keep them within reach. Explore weather and storm details on larger displays with native navigation and adaptive panels.
OFFICIAL ALERTS, CLEAR LIMITS
Read active National Weather Service alerts and Storm Mode summaries. During supported life-threatening warnings, the Severe Safety Center provides hazard-specific guidance and official alert text. Notifications are local and best-effort: they depend on permission and app/background refresh. The app does not replace Wireless Emergency Alerts, evacuation orders or other official emergency systems.
OPTIONAL USA WEATHER PREMIUM
Extend futurecast to six hours, see rain-arrival estimates and storm motion, replay historical radar with Time Machine, explore additional radar layers and enable severe-alert coverage for saved cities. Premium also adds optional rain-arrival notifications and rain-arrival information on widgets. Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Trial offers appear only for eligible accounts. Restore purchases using the same Apple Account. Essential safety information stays free.
