iPhone Duo - Open your iPhone Duo and turn it sideways: Settings sits on the left and your cards stay on the right, so you can change a setting without leaving the cards. - Closed, and on every other iPhone, the app looks exactly as before. Fixes - If a list was open, opening an item from Siri or Spotlight put the item behind the list, so it looked like nothing happened. Now the list closes and the item opens. Tapping an expiry notification also closes the list and takes you to the home screen. - After changing notification permission in the Settings app, FoodEntropy's settings screen now shows the change as soon as you come back.

A new home screen - The home screen is now five cards in a stack: current status, waste stats, and the three buckets — expired, expiring within 3 days, and still fresh. Tap a card to bring it to the front, tap it again to open that bucket's list. - Lists now open in their own screen instead of competing with the stats for room on the home screen. Tapping an item edits it, and closing it returns you to the list. - Settings moved to the gear in the top right of the home screen. The tab bar is gone, which gives the list about one more row of height. - Card colour now only means urgency. The two summary cards are plain graphite, and you can tell the cards apart in dark mode. Also - Items in a list show the price you recorded. Items without a recorded price show nothing. - Fixed: opening an item from Siri, an expiry notification, or Spotlight dropped you on the home screen without opening the item, unless you were already on the home screen. - Fixed: tapping Save twice could save the item twice. A failed save now keeps the form open and tells you why, instead of closing as though it had worked.

New • Shortcuts and Spotlight — add an item, mark one used or discarded, or extend an expiry date without opening the app. To find them: open the Shortcuts app and search for FoodEntropy, or swipe down on the Home Screen and type the app's name. • Find food in Spotlight — type an item's name, then tap the result to open it for editing. • Siri — mark an item used or discarded by voice. Siri AI currently works in English on iPhone 15 Pro and later. Improved • A change made from Shortcuts or Spotlight now shows up as soon as you come back to the app.

New • Home screen widget — see what's about to expire, and how much money is at stake, without opening the app. To add it: long-press the Home Screen, tap "+", search for FoodEntropy, and pick the medium size. The widget shows exactly what the app's home screen shows, stays in sync as you record items, and updates its expiry buckets when the date changes. Improved • For device languages other than Traditional Chinese, the app now falls back to English instead of showing Chinese.
