One verse. One landscape. Every day. Shepherd gives you a single Bible verse each morning, set on a quiet photograph and sized for your lock screen. That is the whole app. There is no feed to scroll, no streak to keep, and nothing asking for your attention. THE SAME VERSE FOR EVERYONE The verse of the day is decided by the calendar, not by an algorithm, and it is identical for every person using Shepherd. It quietly follows the church year (Advent, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost) without ever putting a label or a countdown on your screen. The verse simply fits the time of year. EVERY TRANSLATION, FREE FOREVER ESV, King James Version, New Living Translation, Reina-Valera 1909 (Spanish) and Luther 1912 (German). Every translation Shepherd ships is free, and always will be. Scripture is not the thing being sold. MADE FOR THE LOCK SCREEN Each wallpaper is composed at your device's full resolution, with the verse placed to clear the clock and your widgets. Save it to Photos, share it, or set it in a few taps. WIDGETS, FREE A lock screen widget and a home screen widget, both free, refreshing at midnight with the day's verse. QUIET BY DESIGN No ads. No watermarks. No accounts to create. No tracking and no analytics of any kind. Shepherd works fully offline and collects nothing at all. IN YOUR LANGUAGE The app, the verses and the citations are fully translated into English, German and Spanish. SHEPHERD+ (OPTIONAL) Shepherd+ supports the app and adds a few extras: . Automatic daily wallpaper, set up once with Shortcuts . The full verse library unlocked at once, plus per-verse background swaps . Memorize: learn a verse by heart over a week, using the wallpaper itself . More widget sizes, StandBy, and widget themes . The Lily and Vesper themes . Verse tracks: Gratitude, Encouragement, Courage, Peace and Anxiety, Grief and Comfort, New Beginnings . Choose which photo collections feed your daily rotation Monthly, yearly with a 7 day free trial, or a one time lifetime purchase. Family Sharing is on, so one purchase covers up to six people. The free version stays genuinely free. Nothing is blurred, teased, or dangled to push you toward paying.
