Cardbase: Card Scanner & Price
TCG Collection & Value Tracker
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
From your first scan to your full collection: check card prices, record what you paid, and follow your collection value over time.
Scan trading cards, check their market value, and track your collection in one place. Cardbase helps you see what you own, what you paid, and how its value changes.
SCAN AND START YOUR COLLECTION
Use your camera to identify supported cards and graded slabs. Review the match before adding it. Working through a binder or stack? Batch scanning helps you organize multiple cards together. Coverage varies by game, card language and printing.
CHECK PRICES WITH CONTEXT
See price history and recent sales where available. Compare raw and graded values when there is data for that condition. Prices come from supported market sources, including completed sales and market price guides. The source and market matter: a guide value is not a guaranteed sale price.
TRACK VALUE, COST AND PROFIT
Record purchase costs, quantities and dates. Follow collection value over time and compare it with what you spent. Record a sale to keep track of realized profit or loss. Choose your display currency and keep your collecting records together.
ORGANIZE YOUR WAY
Group cards into collections, find a card by name or number, and keep notes on individual items. Review which holdings contribute most to your collection and how their values have moved.
BUY AND SELL WITH COLLECTORS
Browse listings or list cards from your collection in supported markets. Message buyers and sellers in the app, with blocking and reporting tools available. Marketplace availability and delivery options vary by region.
START FREE
Single-card scanning and price lookups are available on the free plan. Optional Pro and Ultra subscriptions offer additional features and higher limits. Batch scanning, collection capacity and other limits depend on your plan; see the app for current details.
Download Cardbase and start with a card you already own.

Bug fixes and small improvements.
1.7.7 Oct 3
Trade insights
• Trade history is now Trade insights, redesigned: one summary shows realized profit and loss, win rate and average hold time.
• New By month bar chart, so one large sale no longer dwarfs every other month.
• Sold vs today's market now compares sale by sale, so you can see at a glance whether each sale was above or below today's guide price.
• New chart of hold time against return, plus your best and worst sale.
Sign-in and account
• Fixed the sign-in buttons being pushed off the login screen after signing in with Google.
• Tapping a sign-in or confirmation link in your email now finishes signing you in.
• An email address that is already registered now goes to sign-in, instead of wrongly asking you to check your email.
• If you have cards as a guest, you are asked before signing in to another account, so they are not left behind.
1.7.6 Sep 25
Stability
• Fixed the app freezing or closing when you return to it after time away; you now land where you left off.
• On iPhone, swiping back from the left edge is Apple's own gesture again, and the page follows your finger.
• Much lower memory use, so large collections stay smooth.
Card page
• The Wishlist heart sits beside the ⋯ menu, and Share has moved to the bottom bar.
• In full-screen view, the card leans and catches the light as you tilt your phone.
Search
• Pack & Box keeps the JP and EN filters.
• Filters no longer cut each other off.
Also
• Installing the app from a card page on cardbase.io opens that same card.
• Text that was hard to read in dark mode now shows clearly.
1.7.4 Sep 24
Faster, lighter, and steadier.
• Fixed a crash that could close the app while you were scanning.
• Scanning, browsing and long sessions are quicker, and the app uses far less memory.
• Price charts stay smooth however long the history.
• Graded slabs read more reliably, whether you scan them or pick a photo from your library.
• Trade history is now a proper chart, with card art on every row.
1.7.3 Sep 21
Search
• Search is now one ranked set of results you can filter by game and card language, instead of switching between tabs.
• With no search term it opens on discovery: Recently viewed, Recommended for You (drawn from your collection and Wishlist), and cards grouped by what is moving.
• Suggestions appear as you type, and you can open a card straight from under the search box.
• Results show the full card name, and prices are labelled more clearly.
Home
• Redesigned, with the membership row rendered as glass.
• Before you have a collection, Home opens with a guided start instead of an empty screen. The sample card uses real market figures and says so.
• The big-sales rail is ordered by what actually sold, and states the window the data covers.
Collection
• The value chart marks buys and sells as counts, grouping actions that happened close together.
• Collection profit and loss is stacked vertically, which reads better on a narrow screen.
Market
• Listing a card is now a step-by-step form: card details, then photos, then price.
Sealed Boxes & Packs
• Browse by price, with the filters on a single scrolling row.
• Boxes and packs are categorised more accurately.
Everything else
• The app launches noticeably faster.
• App updates are applied inside the launch screen.
• Every card links out to the catalogue it came from.
• Card numbers are shown exactly as printed, leading zeros included.
• Card art is shown in full instead of cropped.
• The app is substantially smaller to download and install.
• Scanning is tap-to-scan; continuous auto-snap has been removed.
• Latest news has been rebuilt around market news.
• Wording improvements across the app's languages.
1.7.2 Sep 18
Charts
• Every real observation is marked on its own line, so you can see where the data actually
is instead of a straight segment between two ends.
• Hold and drag and the crosshair stops on the instants the card actually traded, not on a
calendar day grid, and it reads out every grade line on screen rather than one.
• Price charts no longer go missing. On iOS, leaving a screen and coming back redraws the
line on Home and Collection without restarting the app.
• The legend is a toggle again. Tap a grade to show or hide its line, as many at once as you
like, and the Compare button under each cell is gone.
• Buys and sells are marked on your Collection value chart at the point the value
actually moved, so an unpriced add and a same-day buy-and-sell both show up, and today's
sell appears the day you make it.
• When several operations land close together, the chart keeps the newest one visible rather
than the largest.
Your collection
• A failed read is no longer reported as an empty collection. One bad response used to make
the whole collection look gone.
• An item that cannot be opened says why instead of swallowing the tap.
• Sold items is now Trade history. Free shows your last 5 trades, Pro the last
12 months, Ultra everything.
• Recent activity is ordered by when it happened.
• Changing the currency on a card no longer changes it for your whole account.
Scanning and browsing
• Picking a card in Scan no longer closes the whole page.
• Dragging to scroll a list no longer opens the card under your finger. On Search
results a scroll could open whatever you started the drag on.
Everywhere else
• Grade pickers are painted in each grading company's own colour.
• A Pro prompt now names the feature you just tapped, and it stops offering free readers
things their plan already includes.
• A calmer palette across the app: orange is reserved for what you can act on, so prices,
headings and card art read first.
• Sheets follow the app's own Light or Dark setting instead of the phone's.
• The report-a-problem page no longer reloads itself.
1.7.1 Sep 8
A new opening
• The app now plays an animation while it starts, instead of showing a static screen.
Giveaways
• Free to enter, and using the app the way you already do earns extra chances — scanning a card, running a centering analysis, inviting a friend.
• The full terms are published in the app, and every number in them comes from the draw itself.
• Your invite link now tells you when someone joins on it.
Sealed Boxes & Packs
• A sealed box or pack now opens its own detail screen, the same as a card does.
• Mark one sold from that screen, and correct the date you bought it.
Marketplace and messages
• Search finds a seller by name.
• A picture you send in a chat arrives as the picture you sent.
Collection and Home
• The collection header now moves with the chart and your recent trades instead of sitting apart from them.
• Past week measures a real week, and the day's movers are colored to match the line.
Elsewhere
• The You tab is reorganized so every row says where it leads, and the rows nobody used are gone.
• Buttons, toasts and notices were redrawn to stay legible on older iOS and on Android.
• Dozens of smaller fixes across scanning, pricing and five languages.
1.7.0 Sep 3
Portfolio
• Your value chart now draws a cost-basis line as the step function it is, marks the days you bought and sold directly on it, and fills the band between cost and market so gains and losses read at a glance.
• Swipe the portfolio card on Home to reach your all-time realized profit and loss.
• Marking a card sold shows what you paid and your live profit before you confirm, and the sold price gets its own line.
Marketplace
• A listed card is marked in Collection and shows your asking price, so you can change it or unlist from where the card lives. Relist whenever you want.
• One conversation per listing, so cards from the same seller stay separate and the newest message is always in view.
• Delivery is something buyer and seller can agree between them, and listings in another currency name that currency.
• Fuller marketplace filters: every brand is selectable, each showing how many are there.
• Blocking and reporting: a blocked person won't appear in browse, make an offer, or read a thread.
Scanning and photos
• A scan uploads exactly what sits inside the viewfinder window, matching what you framed, so identification is more accurate.
• Scan photos can be recropped, moved and reset, and HEIC photos are supported.
• Batch scanning gains a long-press menu on results, and you can step between cards awaiting confirmation without closing the screen.
Elsewhere
• Wishlist is now one tap from Home.
• You is a single page, and shows the plan you're on.
• Order-status changes notify you, and the inbox brings every notification together.
• Faster launch, smoother scrolling and lower memory use.
• Dozens of text, layout and price-display improvements across five languages.
1.6.1 Sep 1
• Cardbase has a new look — a new logo, a new icon and a refreshed design throughout.
Same app, same collection.
• Sign in with Google, through Google's own account picker — and every sign-in now
lands you on Home instead of the screen that asked you to sign in.
• Card actions are reliable again: long-press a card, or tap the ••• in its corner.
• No more false "offline" — the app stops claiming you have no connection when you do.
• A failed update can no longer lock you out of the app.
• One price block per card, showing today's price. Raw is listed before PSA 10, and a
price borrowed from another grade now says so instead of passing as the card's own.
• Nothing shrinks to unreadable any more — prices and headings stay legible on dense grids.
• A card's price chart now marks the days you sold one.
• Sold cards settle at the bottom of Collection instead of mixing in with what
you own, and your collection total reads as market value rather than what you paid.
• Market: block a seller without having to report them, and a blocked seller
stays out of your feed, your threads and your offers.
• Profile & Account: addresses can be edited and cleared, Thai addresses are accepted,
and a phone-number change request now completes end to end.
• Display Currency opens on the six currencies people actually use, with the
rest one tap away.
• The onboarding clips no longer interrupt whatever you were listening to.
• Report a problem straight from You.
1.6.0 Aug 29
• Scanning identifies cards on your phone with no connection. This version's on-device library covers Pokémon and One Piece, English and Japanese prints.
• When a scan is unsure, CardBase offers cards from the collector number printed on the card.
• Leave the app and come back. The screen is where you left it.
• A grade's number always appears with its grade.
• Every price names its market. No sales data means the app says so.
• You can hide collection value on Home and Collection.
• Dates use your timezone.
• Seller names show as published.
1.5.0 Aug 24
• Wishlist now prices every card you watch at the grade you actually want.
• Pro: Sold items keeps a trade journal for every card you sell.
• Giveaways: new missions earn extra chances, and your history now lives on You.
• Clearer price charts, with the raw traded range plotted.
• Search finds far more cards.
• Scanning a stack is steadier — corrections stick, and nothing saves twice.
1.4.0 Aug 20
• Safety check: look up a seller or a listing and report a suspected scam without leaving the app.
• Wishlist now prices every card you watch at the grade you actually want.
• Pro: a trade journal for every card you sell.
• Giveaways: new missions earn extra chances, and your history now lives on You.
• Clearer price charts, with the raw traded range plotted.

1.3.0 Aug 18
• See every price in your own currency — Hong Kong dollar, US dollar, yen, Taiwan dollar, Australian dollar or won.
• New Portfolio Insights: your cost, profit and loss, best and worst cards, and what moved this week.
• Scan a whole stack in one sitting, then review the batch together before it joins your collection.
• Your collection and portfolio now open instantly, and stay readable without a connection.
• Marketplace offers now happen in chat, so a deal and the conversation stay in one place.
• Fixed a bug that could leave the app unresponsive after opening a panel.
• Settings, filters and panels open faster and more smoothly throughout the app.
