Put a few photos, a few words and a doodle on one sheet, and print them together.
· New: Layout. Start from the home screen with a template or freeform, add one to four photos, then drag, scale and rotate them. Frame each as a rectangle, rounded corners, a capsule or a circle, and crop to any part of the picture at a set ratio.
· Words and drawing: four type styles, and a pen in three weights with solid, dashed or dotted lines. Marks can use the accent ink or one of the photo's inks, so they print on the same plate.
· One sheet, one run: photos, words and lines share the same inks and dots. Change the paper, inks or process; four starter templates, two of them free.
· After you save, you're back on the home screen, and the print waits in the Press Room to be opened and edited again.
3.4 Oct 1
Save one, start the next.
· After you save a print, tap "Next" to pick another photo straight away. It opens with the same process, inks, paper and density, so a set of prints stays in one style. Text and exposure start fresh for each photo.
· Not in the mood for another? Ignore it and keep adjusting or sharing the print you just saved.
3.3 Sep 29
Risograph, re-inked: prints that look more like they came off a real Riso.
· Risograph in Fluorescent Pink and Federal Blue has a new colour split: reds, oranges and browns print as bright pink, shadows fall into deep blue-violet, yellow highlights stay close to bare paper, and leaves and sky turn a clear teal-blue.
· Lighter and airier: overcast skies are left as paper, the darkest tones stop at navy instead of black, and the dot size has been retuned.
· Portraits and busy photos now print in two-colour Risograph too. Colour Riso is still in the process menu when you want three inks.
· Ink density starts in the middle: lower for lighter, higher for stronger. Reset brings it back to the middle.
· Your existing prints and recipe cards keep their look. Newly imported photos use the new colours.

Meet Curved Weave, a rebuilt Line Cut, and new ways into Inkling from the system.
· New Curved Weave: two plates of ink lines interlace along one family of flow lines and bend around the subject, like a banknote engraving. Adjust density, line width and curl. Federal Blue with Fluorescent Pink by default.
· Line Cut, rebuilt: contours thicken in the shadows, midtones are carried by hatching and cross-hatching, like a woodcut. Rough paper bites the lines.
· Press Room: any print can be opened as an editable copy, with its photo, inks and text intact. The original stays as it is.
· Shortcuts and Siri: "Print a photo with Inkling", "Open my press room", "Shuffle the look". Your prints show up in Spotlight.
· The sample print now carries gold-foil lettering, with a nudge to tilt your phone once it is printed.
· The paper panel preview follows the tilt too.
· Text darkens and thickens when Increase Contrast or Bold Text is on.

Turn your photos into lines on paper.
· Meet Line Cut: trace your photo in black ink, with controls for line weight, detail, and shadow ink.
· Pick up where you left off: your latest draft is saved automatically. Undo and redo multiple edits, and keep creating after saving or sharing.
· A refreshed Press Room: a staggered print wall and a home preview strip that scroll gently until you take control. Includes dark and tinted icons, plus home shortcuts you can show or hide in Settings.
Also refined navigation in Settings to keep the back button and title steady when opening My other apps. Corrected the status bar appearance across dark print, layout, freeform collage, and sharing screens so the time and system icons remain readable. Made home scrolling more noticeable and refined collage selection to keep selection badges clear of the header.

You can print words on your print now.
· Text plate: four typefaces, and the text is a real plate — screened, shifted, foil-able, and pressable into dark paper
· Paper now bites into the ink: rough stock frays the dot edges and skips in the low spots, while smooth white stays crisp — changing paper changes the print, not just the color underneath
· Shuffle can change just the inks, just the paper or just the press — and step back to the previous look
· Sharing a print now includes its recipe link, so a friend can print the same look in one scan
· Landscape photos show larger in the editor
· The preview only redraws when something changes: noticeably easier on the battery
· Relief shows its slopes even with the phone lying flat
· Smooth gradients no longer band into rings
· Fixed a handful of clipped labels
2.8 Sep 7
The two-ink press has been rebuilt, and the editor got simpler.
· Two-ink prints: shadows now stack both inks into a deep tone, with finer dots that close up into solid ink
· Emboss / Deboss: make any plate a relief — no ink, just raised or pressed paper that catches light as you tilt
· Two dark papers: Indigo and Teal
· Editor: the photo fills the screen; Shuffle rolls a new ink, paper and press in one tap; Save and Export are always a tap away
· Studio mode: plates, separations and plate shift live behind a switch until you want them
· The launch screen opens full-screen on one of your own prints each day — switch it off in Settings
· No more ceremony after purchase: you land straight back on your print
· Small photos export sharper
· New icon
2.7 Sep 4
Fixed the purchase screen showing "not available yet".
· Product details now retry on failure — no relaunch needed once the network is back
· The purchase screen refetches every time it opens
2.6.1 Sep 3
Two new ways to screen a plate.
· Line screen — tone becomes directional rulings, cut at each plate's own angle
· Bitgrain — an ordered 8×8 threshold presses every plate into crisp one-bit texture
· Two presses built on them: Line Press and Bitgrain Riso
· Smoother transitions in and out of the preview, and clearer feedback as you print
2.6 Aug 25
This release rebuilds the print itself.
· Real shadows — deep tones now come from two inks overprinting, not one flat plate
· Inks follow the photo — every picture gets a palette read from its own colours
· Cleaner exports — halftone dots are sampled per cell, so the grain is gone
· A new icon, a new press animation, and more generous paper margins
2.5 Aug 21
Start with a photo and get to a print worth sharing, faster.
· CLEARER HOME — see what your photo can become before learning the press
· CLEARER FULL — your current photo now demonstrates smart palettes, clean high-resolution export and every ink
· PAY ONCE — the purchase screen makes permanent ownership clear and always uses the App Store's local price
2.4 Aug 17
Every photo now gets its own way of printing.
· ADAPTIVE RESULTS — Inkling recognises graphic compositions, dense detail, portraits and pets, then protects what matters in each
· THREE SMART RECIPES — switch between Graphic, Detail and Portrait and compare them instantly
· DYNAMIC INK BALANCE — Colour Riso balances its blue, pink and orange plates for each photo, reducing peachy skin, tinted white fur and heavy colour casts
· HOLD FOR ORIGINAL — press and hold the print to see the source; let go to return to ink and paper
· Better texture and shadow detail, plus interface refinements throughout
2.2 Aug 12
Every print you've pulled now hangs on a wall.
· A NEW SEPARATION ENGINE — warm hues to the warm ink, cool to the cool; shadows print solid in one ink; pale greys become a soft field of dots. More like paper than ever.
· SMART RECIPES — inks pick themselves: orange for sunsets, pink for pink walls, blue holds the night
· THE PRESS ROOM — prints file themselves: numbered, with inks and settings
· IMPOSITION — a dozen layouts, or freeform collage: drag, pinch, rotate, restack
· RECIPE CARDS — inks and screens become a QR card; friends scan and print their own photo
· ONE-TAP SAVE — straight to Photos after the press run; share a clean, watermark-free print if you like
