Betakyte
Writing worth paying for
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Fiction and nonfiction books, serials, stories and essays from independent writers. Follow, read and save.
Betakyte is a publishing platform for independent writers — fiction and nonfiction books, complete books, serialized work, short stories, essays and newsletters, published directly to the readers who pay for them.
READ WHAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY WROTE
The writers and books you follow reach you chronologically, in Following, newest first. Recommendations stay separate, under Suggested, and every one of them tells you why it appeared. Every post carries a byline that links to the person or publication behind it.
BOOKS, COMPLETE OR A CHAPTER AT A TIME
Read a finished novel or nonfiction book, or start a serialized work and read the opening chapters free. Later chapters unlock with a membership to that writer, bought in the app.
BUILT FOR READING
- A clean reader with adjustable text and no interstitials
- Save anything to your Library and read it later
- Follow topics and get a notification when something new lands
- Your history and saves sync across your devices
FREE TO USE
A free account gets you following, saving and every post a writer publishes openly. Paid books and memberships are bought in the app; a membership you already hold unlocks that writer's work here too.
Who gets paid: when you support a writer, they keep 90% of it.
